We have hit a bit of form and have been putting some good scores in the last 4 games whilst staying relatively injury free although Aspinwall will be out and Spencer has gone back to Wigan.
Friday will be our second biggest test of the season as we face the Champions, it should also see our biggest gate of the season as this is the 'biggest' team to visit the LSV this year and certainly (in terms of successes recently) the best.

Sheffield's right side is the danger, Knowles, Armstrong and Taulpapa. Swinton actually kept QLT and Yere pretty quiet the other week. Green, Knowles and Hirst were outstanding in the back row. Finnigen and Goulden are going to have to be solid. Aspinwall will be a loss, I'd have started Hopkins at 13 but with Spencer back at Wigan he may be needed in the front row.

How do we know Spencer's been re-called by Wigan? He's not in their squad for the Catalans game this weekend.

7.30pm is a big rush on a Friday - home 6.30pm etc with the TV looking more attractive to many when a local SL derby is on. The lack of matchday experience has driven many fans away already. Rushing to the ground digesting your tea seems less appealing than a couple of beers in a lounge - USE THE MAIN BAR AS A FANS BAR BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

I would just add that Leigh is not as safe a town as it used to be when your walking the streets at 10pm on a Friday night when you get to my age.

However your quite correct about the attraction of the lounge and Leighlife ont wireless, warm and cosy on a winter night with a couple of quality ales to enhance my enjoyment of the commentary

I also know its not yourself or folk like you the club needs to attract , i know like myself you are a converted Die-hard ,we need new blood as well as some of the lapsed fans returning , i know you was an original LISA founder , and i applaud you for that

, i also know people movee on with their lives and cant devote the time and effort to the club they used to , my own health is not good at the moment , attending games is sometimes hard for me , but not to turn up would be much harder .

As i have said i know mi owd Dad would love to still be watching , he would have loved the LSV .

In the Journal it says Martin Aspinwall and Rob Parker are in the running for selection with a late fitness on Simon Finnigan while Tom Spencer may be called back but it will have been Tuesday at the latest when this info was given .
