Is it time to do away with it or should the Governing body introduce it in all divisions.

In the Championship both Batley and Keighley have benefited greatly by losing and gained 6 and 5 BP respectively.

Should be in all leagues IMHO.

Batley and Keighley have proven to be very tough and consistant teams.

After all, its still 2 points difference between winning or not.

I believe it's added to the competitiveness in the Championship. I just wonder why they haven't introduced it in SL? It seems like the two competitions just have to be treated differently.

Well looking at the table Batley would be 27 Sheffield 30 and Leigh 30 ( without bonus points )and as we have a better points difference we would be 3rd not 5th with a game in hand ,don't like it myself .

It's counted against us this season, but that's not to say it may work in our favour in the future. It's our own fault for not being that bit more competitive when we have lost.

Thing is it could work out for a team to win a game less but still be above another team purely down to bonus points ,now that can't be right ,it should go off how many games a team wins and not nearly wins

Well it's up to the team who has won the more games to make sure they don't get battered on the occasions that they do lose.

Teams have something to play for, right up to the 80th minute.

The number of bonus points gained prove that teams refuse to throw in the towel and gives leading teams the initiative that 3 points go there way and win by 12 !

I like the idea, but what about the teams that win by more than 12? They could see it as having a rough deal.
I'd have 4 points on order for each match. 4 for a victory o over 12, and then as you where for the rest.

If we are 3 pts behind a team in the table and we beat them by 14pts then we benefit more don't we? If we win by 10pts they would still be a point ahead in the table, so makes sense to push on to rob them of a bonus point. Works both ways.

Well you get the benefit of preventing the other side from gaining a point, plus points difference might make a huge difference this season.

I like the bonus point.

For example earlier this season we were beating Fax quite comfortably but up to the last play of the match Fax kept going in the hope of that bonus point.

Provided we win all our remaining league games I am sure we will finish second.

We must stop Fax from getting a Bonus point to finish second , Charlie knows
