LISA EVENT PLEASE SUPPORT THIS
we have been asked to raise awareness and try and raise funds for a very special young man Connor Young. Connor and his mum Carrie are regulars at the LSV ,supporting the centurions and has connor is severely disabled, his mum has approached us and asked if we can help her try and raise enough money to buy a special motorised wheelchair for Connor, as a teenager his mum has struggled to push him to school every day and up to the LSV on matchdays
Lisa are therefore holding a Poker/Pool comp night at the Centurion Pub on Friday the 29th June it will be a fun night with lots of prizes to win including cash prizes, we would like to see as many fans down as possible to help us try and make enough money so his mum and Connor can have a better life. Anyone can take part in this, I would appreicate if you can let us know how many are taking part then we can set everything up.
LIsa are also looking for prizes or sponsers who are willing to contribute , so if theres anyone out there who can help please ring the club and they will put you in touch with me.
I know we Leythers all stick together and we can help Connor, so please help us in any way you all can.

Have you got a Just Giving page?

I saw a good fund raising idea on there where people can text to a number like they would a competition on TV or Radio, but the text money goes direct to the Just Giving page.

I was looking for my own charity event but couldn't do it myself unfortunatley.

I'm sure the club would put a text number up on the big screen at half time at a game?

I think we will need about £1200 to help out Connor and his mam' fellow Leythers and I am confident we can do this.



I will go round the North stand with a bucket collection to get us started if we can get permission from the club.

Think the NRC quarter game against Batley would be best.

DENIS has asked and the club are only allowed 3 per season and we have reached that so we cant do it at home however Im sure we could do one at Batley amoung our own supporters.

sorry I ve not the time to set this up amnd dont know enough about it to do it as Frank says Im sure we can raise this amount

I echo everything that Lynda has said , lets all support this fundraiser , and hopefully try to help provide Connor with what he needs ,to me theres NOTHING BETTER ,than Leythers , and it seems when someone needs help Leythers will do their best to help , in Connor we have a fellow Leyth Fan , lets show him we care , and do our best .

Can they stop a bucket collection OUTSIDE the ground, like Wayne, me and several others did for Safety in Sport?

It wasn't given the go ahead for a collection in the ground by the club. The club are only allowed so many per year and we had already reached that number.
They are helping in many other ways though.

Lynda we've now put a promotional banner on LeighLife for Connor.
