A frustrating game' bit of a droppedballathon.

Maybe the Leeds game had an effect.

Well done to the Hunslet fans for the support they gave their team.

Made hard work of overcoming a spirited Hunslet side. We possibly suffered a reaction to last week, and at least its another three points! Four tries from forwards - Nicholson, Gallagher, Laithwaite and Parker, with the inevitable one from Ryan Brierley, backing up an astonishing run from Tommy Gallagher. Ridyard kicked five out of five. I think that's the fourth consecutive game, where he's been 100% with his goal-kicking. (Halifax, Sheffield, Leeds and Hunslet) It's obviously his bright yellow boots, that's doing it!

Parker got the MOM, after having a stormer, although Tommy Goulden must have run him close. Laithwaite didn't complete the full 80, for just about the first time. (substituted after about 78!) We bombed a stack of scoring opportunities, and wasted two Ridyard 40/20's by dropping the ball on the first tackle!

Still, mustn't be too critical. Unlike Featherstone, in their first match, after playing W***n, at least we won!!

TV BOY, it was a rather frustrating afternoon, even though we won. We were only leading 12-6 after 39 minutes, then we scored 'at the death', but we were 30-6 ahead with 25 minutes left !!!!
I'm sure we 'bombed' more tries than we scored. Hunslet posed more problems in the last 20 minutes, coupled with our 'bizarre' handling errors/passing to the opposition close to their line
To sum it up, our approach play/defence was very good, BUT we seemed to panic when we got near their line....having said that, we still scored 5 tries.
ROB PARKER was the obvious choice for M.O.M. - no one else came close.
Hunslet's full back had a very good game.....quality player

A bit like after the Lord Mayors show.............Looked good in defence but at times tried to force the pass too often.
We dropped the ball frequently and had a number of calls ruled forward by the ref, if only it was last week


As the "markers not square" been removed from a penalty offence?

Average game, average crowd, poor corporate. Bring back Friday night games, I felt like billy no mates sat on my own!

Thought the Hunslet 9 was outstanding.......made great yards everytime he had the ball.

I hate missing games. Bad or good, win or loose. I hate it. June has been well and truly been deemed the month of golf, fishing and Leigh Centurions. Not necessarily in that order. Stuff work.
