Yes stu got well stuck in and sorted bailey out, everyone played awesome and seemed to match them for fitness right up to final whistle.

Really chuffed with that performance ,they got over their line 4 times 2 chalked off ,don't know why Mcnally's wasn't given on the hooter 1st half .Considering the internationals they had out there I thought our lads were great

Stupid fron Stu Littler getting involved cost us a good try which was chalked off
Bailey was outstanding for Leeds but our lads never took a backward step when the going got tough great game even tho the scoreline looks one sided Leigh played some class rugby

Agree we never took a backward step for the whole game, even when they where scoring at will the lads heads never dropped.

Littler cost a try but it didn't really matter at that stage, especially if it put Bailey in his place. Leeds were class from start to finish, on and off the field, apart from Mr Bailey and his cheap shots.

I thought tonight we were a match for them in the forwards. Only when we got tired did their pack make any yards. It was the backs that beat us, along with that tool Thaler and a couple pf lucky bounces. Was it Sinfield that put that kick up for their second try? It was all over the place. How did he do that? Our lads did what was asked of them and should go home not too pleased but content. I can hardly bloody talk. More wine please.

Yeh, How often do you see d**k head thaler on sky reffing? Never coz he's sh**e. You must have gone to a differant game to me nowt wrong with the Ref he had a good game so did the touch judges and inline refs.. No matter what ref had been there tonite the fact is our team got beat by a world class team who train full time and have the best of everything they have more backroom staff than all the teams in Leigh and district put together .We got beat by the GF Winners and World Club Champions and we did,nt lie down and at times played some great attacking rugby ourselves , great game and i wish every week was like tonite but not the score ..Leigh will have learned hell of a lot tonite about structures and following game plans and how to defend against a team that moves the ball about at pace along the line, on top of that the club has made quite a lot of dosh thanks to our heroics against Halifax in the last round how important was that drop goal that Riddy scored very in my opinion..THANKS FOR A GREAT GAME LADS TOP STUFF !!!!

Sums it up nicely for me. How classy is Sinfield? He seems to have all the time in the World, with ball in hand, and never stops organising and encouraging his team. Seemed very concerned immediately when Nash got the head injury too. Great to see a class side in action and very proud of our lads too. Remember the two tonkings we got in SL at Hilton Park, from Leeds? And that was when we were full time too.

Apart from the obvious forward pass that set up a Leeds try I think the ref and touch judges had good games, thought Sinfield and Burrow were both superb and class acts. it was great to see Leythers applauding Ryan Halls interception try as well. Thought the lads effort was first class night and done themselves, us and the town proud.

Bailey threw the first punch, Littler returned one and floored him. That must have been why our try got disallowed and Leeds got the penalty. A real BIZARRE decision.

Why was Thaler concerend with that. Should he not have been following play and leaving that upto his helpers? Just said on another thread that I think he is one of the worst refs in this game. Likes the sound of his whistle and is very inconsistant.

The main points re the ref were

1) Forward pass for one of the tries in the first half not given. Touch judge right in line with it. Looked forward even from the North Stand.
2) Crossing for another one in the 1st not given, (then gives crossing against Leigh in the same circumstances later in half)
3) Try disallowed right on half time. Could not see why from North stand
4) Try disallowed after the biff.

Not saying it would have made any difference to result, but I think the final score would have been closer had Leigh been close at HT.

Same game, but if the offside rule was used and forward passes at key times,it would have given leigh more and better opportunities.And yes i know we are part time so that doesn't help matters does it.

Sorry I should have edited the quote but I agree with the rest. Thaler did'nt really have enough of an effect on the wining team.
