Greg took both shins of the Rochdale play right on the head. Their hooker saw it straight away and waved the trainers on. Fair play to the lad. The lads who's shins colided with Gregs head wasn't to clever either. I like Greg and I really hope we keep him for another year. Every game I see Sam Hopkins play tells me that he won't be with us much longer. The lad is destined to follow Chris Hil, who by the way scored for Wire today.

Agree with you. unless we keep him under wraps and get him on a long contract, same has all the other young lads they will be Leigh's team for years to come.

Reality check! We can't afford the sort of contracts we gave to Chris Hill to keep him from the clutches of SL for so long. Sam will have to take what we can afford or move on. No exceptions.

If we want supper league in Leigh and compete at the top level, we must try to keep has many of our young lad's as possible, or are we just going to end up being a feeder club for supper league teams.

Can't afford supper at the moment, so forget about SL until the licensing system is changed

Does anyone think its strange that quite a few of our players seemed to come up from tackles limping?
im not suggesting anything underhand was going on but it seemed to be happening every other tackle, especially our strike players like McNally and Maden.

I think they were just hard collisions Wayne. More important though is another ban for Stu Littler for his reported chicken wing offence. That could be a major problem for the next CC game.

Not good if Littler can't play he's everything our current players should be aspiring to with his experiance, skill & leadership on the pitch he'll be a big loss if he isn't available.

Well Jonny I have always been a modernist and am all for improving the Towns diet.

To that end well over 50 years ago we had a family discussion as to wether carrots should be included in lobby and it was pointed out at that discussion that their inclusion would be beneficial. The overwhelming majority of family members realising the health benefits and 'taking into account that carrots unlike bacon' were not on ration' no doubt had an effect on the vote.

My Dad then suggested we should also have a pastry crust on our family's lobby and that created a lot of hostility and the debate became very heated but' finally common sense prevailed and Dads view was rejected.

I love the fact that a whole debate took place about it!

I agree with you and your family, your dad was wrong about a pastry crust, but a suet crust?
