If rumours are to be believed, it looks as though the big man could be heading our way again. As he is allegedly not settling at Swinton, this would seem to suit both camps. IF Mills can show the same effort and desire as last year, surely this would be a good signing. I know he may not even sign yet, but would people welcome him back in theory? What do we reckon? Our pack seems to be getting more and more like the one we had last year.

I think that people should remember that he definitely dropped off in the last third of the season. No thanks. We need a younger forward in the same vein as Laithwaite but bigger. Can we clone Sam Hopkins.

I totally agree with you about the latter part of the season. That is why, I was trying to stress that he would be a good signing IF we can get the fire back in his belly. In addition, I think we should remember that we dropped off COLLECTIVELY at the back end of last year and I think we all know why.

He's not pulling his weight there that's for sure ,I'd welcome him back any time, but that young warrington Lad has played really well for us

The Mills who started last season would be a definate boost to our pack - if he can show that sort of form then why not?
'The Mitchell Bros.', Hoppy and Mills as our starting foursome, with Ostick as cover - then we've got Lethwaite and 'Tank' Gallagher as well who could both be utilised in the front row.......it just gives our very small squad a few more options.

Millsy was in the upstairs bar at Half-time , he was asked by someone if he was coming back to Leigh ?He smiled and said "Wait and see ",you never know .

John , it may not be about money , the lad may realise by signing for Swinton , he made a mistake , it happens .

Don't forget when all the contract talks were happening we were on the verge of going bankrupt and no decisions could be made, so the players had to take contracts from clubs who were offering concrete ones. Can't blame the boys or our club for that.

IIRC Mills took the offer at Swinton before we started to re-sign anyone.
The club was in limbo until the finances could be stablised, and we had no one other than the 3 or 4 players who were on 2yr deals. Initially, other than those we already knew were leaving (Donlan, H-Paul, Hilly, Ellis and Nash) the rest of the squad had expressed an interest in staying, if the finances could be sorted.....but as things dragged on, without an immediate resolution in sight, players started to take up offers elsewhere.

If it is a question of money, then that's up to Mills. He can either stay at Swinton unhappy, or come and enjoy himself on (maybe) less!!

Millsy wanted to stay at Leigh but we couldn't renew his contract because we were still in limbo. Swinton came in with a take it or leave it offer and he simply couldn't refuse.

I would welcome him back, he's an absolute beast! And our pack could do with some more 'grunt' imo.

Any team in our division who would not want an 18st 6ft 5inch prop with SL experience is mad !!

Ditto! Mills takes 3 or 4 players out of the game every drive creating space for half backs. Please keep half backs settled. McNally n Ridyard.Shame Brierly isnt on 12 month loan otherwise it would be Brierly n Ridyard. It takes a while for a half back pairing to gel. McNally is wasted at full back n Beswick is loose forward or hooker, preferably loose forward then you have that triangle at base of scrum of Beswick, McNally n Ridyard. Simples!

Charlie would also give McNally a go at 7 .

I've been really disappointed with Mr Mills, he certainly looks the part in terms of size but apart from a decent game at Sheffield,he hasn't impressed me at all.When we signed him I really thought we had made a good signing but for whatever reason hasn't shown himself to be anything other than ordinary which is a shame.If it turns out he ends up back at Leigh then I hope you see a differant player to the one we have seen at Swinton.
For me he rarely runs the ball at pace and never looks to off-load.In all honesty after seeing your props on Friday I don't think you need him, unless you are looking for a bit of squad depth.
If David mills stays with us please start doing yourself some justice.!!

He played well for us Marshy, that's why most of us would have him back, don't know the reason he isn't performing for you guys.
