| ...what about our young lads? Top effort!
By my reckoning eight of our starting line up were under 21 (Pownall, Clay, Murphy, Brierley, Nicholson, Hopkins, Rowe and Briscoe), with the majority of these being teenagers? I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
The future's bright!

I guessed that must be who it was. Played hooker last 10 minutes or so? Got really stuck in to the match when he came on. We had some really young players starting the match plus the likes of McNally, Singleton etc on the bench who are again only very young. Thought they all stood up well against some very talented W*gan players, they really impressed me.
Hopkins is an absolute beast, but for me Briscoe has been the big 'surprise' of the pre-season. I didn't think he would be ready for regular championship rugby just yet but if he carries on like he is then it will be bloody hard to take that No. 13 shirt away from him.

I'd agree with you there Nozzy - I think Briscoe has been a bit of an 'unsung hero' in the three matches, as people have tended to focus on the perfomances of Hopkins and the new boys. He's definately played himself into contention for the start of the season - and at this rate Jimmy T is gonna have a real fight on his hands to get back into the 17!!

Brierley is a Castleford player?Who out of these players from Leigh could be good enough for Superleague?Would not mind signing Hopkins from what I saw the other day. I go the leigh games then go on our board and recommend signings.

| I don't think it will be Dudson (No , more likely Spencer (10) or Burke (15).
Wouldn't mind Hughes (4 but usually a backrower) as well.

Dudson was no. 10. Check out his photos in the programme.

If he did, he'd have to improve his goal line defence, the way ' little ' Ryan ran straight over the top of him for his try was fantastic

| Totaly agree Matt and when young Singleton came on he didn't look out of place apart from Bob ushering him to be behind the play the ball as soon as he walked on the field. When he did it once he looked very comfortable there. I'm glad that the team was changed around last night not only does it fill me with confidence for the season but if the first choice had been out we would have done to the young Pies what their first strike would done to us. Or maybe not hey.
