What are the chances of getting the old traditional music for when Leigh run out at home games? Think it was called something like battle of the knights? That right?

It can't be that hard to do surely, especially now that the relationship between the fans, club and even LSV is closer.

That would be march of the Gladiators or somat similar or bring on the Clowns depending on which way you look at it

It did, I think maybe Battle of the Knights is the one Sunderland use.

I used to love it and even if someones whistling it it still takes me back to Hilton Park.

Caroli will love it - the modern connotation is definitely clowns and not gladiators, I'd say!

I remember opposition fans p1551ng themselves at HP when Leigh used to come out to that, and the players looked rather sheepish also. Not for me I'm afraid it's cringe worthy!

Even if it's not this music, something that we can use. The f***ing Buzzcocks were from Leigh for crying out loud, let's choose one of theirs.

Too broad a spectrum for 'what music should Leigh run out to'

'Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't Have Fallen In Love With)' seems quite an apt lyric for fans of our club. Especially written by a Leyther too.

I don't know who the Buzzcocks label is and if it would cause any issues, but I know they oruiginally signed for a now defunked label, and I think now still run their own indie label.

If you want something to get the blood pumping, it's got to be "Dance of the Knights", the one that Sunderland use. It really gets the hairs on the back of the neck up, especially if they time the creshendo(sp) to when the team enter the field.

we could use the updated version from the film gladiator( centurion connection). thats pretty inspiring music

This is were we need an 'Anthem', blue moon, never walk alone, etc, are played just as the teams are coming out it lifts the home crowd straight away and puts fear into the opposition.

I'd love this one as an entry theme.....and as it finishes - just before the ref blows - you tag on Russell Crowe saying "At my signal - unleash Hell!!"

I'd also like to see the opposition enter the field to the theme from "Steptoe & Son"......always used to make me laugh at HP did that one!!

And whatever happened to those little 'indents' they used to play when we'd scored? "It's Over" (Roy Orbison) for a successful goal-kick - and "Lets have a look at the old score-board!" (in a fake Brucie style)....just to rub the oppositions nose in it when we were leading!!

I like the Fat Boy Slim one. Not sure where we would start it.

Best bet is to just play the intro bit and then just as it kicks in play Hi Ho Silver Lining. IMHO.

I'll contact the club asing for Hi Ho Silver Lining if people think it's a good idea, if you really think about it the famous sporting songs are never very good anyway:

You'll Never Walk Alone & Delila are dire, but get a few thousand people singing it and it's a different story. So why no Hi Ho? It worked in Blackpool.

Matt the music in question is called (Entrance of the Gladiators ) it still makes me shiver with pride ,for me its Leighs ONLY ENTRANCE MUSIC , Leigh were once nicknamed the Comics also , as for Clowns I LOVE EM
