Looks like Demon picked up some communication from somewhere!
I give you this from the Club Official website on 22 November 2011: -
[iLeigh Centurions have confirmed their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2012 season.
They will take on Halifax and Wigan Warriors at home and will play a ramp-up event at Salford City Reds new Barton home.
Preparations for the season get underway on Sunday 8th January at 3pm when Leigh make the short trip to Barton for a game with a set 6,000 capacity.
"We were only too happy to reciprocate Salford City Reds and their chairman John Wilkinson, after all, Salford did help us to open the Sports Village a couple of years ago." Leigh Chief Executive Trevor Barton commented.
Prices have also been agreed for this game with admission being £12 adults, £8 concessions and £4 children.
"It should be a good day all round and we'll have further information about this game shortly."
Leigh's second pre-season assignment sees a repeat of July's Northern Rail Cup Final as Halifax travel to the LSV. Their new coach Karl Harrison will pit his wits against Leigh and former front row colleague Paul Rowley. Harrison has assembled a strong squad, combining some of the best players from last season with members of his successful Batley team and an array of new signings which include former Centurions centre Mick Nanyn. It will also be the first time that Bob Beswick will come up against former 'Fax team-mates.
This game will kick off at 3pm on 22nd January.
Five days later local pride is at stake when Leigh host Wigan on Friday 27th January with a 7pm start.
"At the international at the LSV, I chatted with Warriors Chairman Ian Lenagan who was genuinely keen to help and I'm very pleased that we've been able to arrange this friendly with his and Wigan's support.
"Coming just a week ahead of the start of our respective seasons it will be both ours and Wigan's final warm-up." Barton explained.
"Another positive to this game is that Leigh will keep ALL proceeds minus Wigan's travel costs.
"This is a magnificent gesture from Wigan and with admission prices set at £12 adults, £8 concessions and £4 children it should be a really good night for the club.
"We hope to see as many fans as possible at all three pre-season games to see our new-look squad in action."
Fans who purchase tickets for the Halifax and Wigan home games will benefit from a special deal whereby for example, an Adult ticket purchased for both games a saving of £2 will be made. Tickets for these games will go on sale on Wednesday at the ticket office[/i.
The only change is to the Salford game, which will now be on Saturday 7th January at 2 p.m. (also obtained from the Official website). Communication enough?
