As the club seems to be struggling for strategy and relying on people who have little ability I hope the following will help

2012 provides a unique opportunity for LCRLFC, it also provides potential disaster if we cock it up.

We have our directors/shareholders confirming they will put no money into the club - so sell it to LISA/Fans for £1 after settling all PG's if any remain.

Income is the lifeline of the club, we must fully understand where it will come from. My views are as follows:

1. Die hards - the fans in LISA, have season tickets, are in Lifeline and buy merchandise. They also include the local business's who sponsor the club and take up corporate meals, boxes etc.
These people should be made to feel special, because they will go the extra mile, financially, that the club needs. These should be the shoe ins for the Touchdown club and generate the core income to sustain the club through 2012.
We have missed an opportunity with the Touchdown club for this section of fans and must correct it immediately.
Fans have no meeting point post and pre games to talk RL and meet up with mates/family. LSV has a big lounge area that could be used to meet this need and motivate these fans to invest in numbers in the Touchdown concept.
Scrap this bronze and silver crap now. £20 per month for 12 months, £5 for accompanied u16's, £12 concessions - to include season pass to stand of choice, members polo shirt and access to bar pre and post match (subject to safety certificate). Coach addresses this area with teamsheet etc pre game and non playing squad mingle with fans. Post game fans addressed with coaches thoughts mom etc, players mingle and emphasis put on youngsters eg autographs, photos etc. We should target 500 adult members = £100k with concessions per season
We must get 100 £50 Touchdown members, we will not do that by an exclusive business club, many individual fans would join at £75 per month for 2.- £40k min here

2. Regular fans - target with affordable season tickets, £140 seven payments of £20. Family 1a+1c £170 six payments of £20 first at £50, Family 2a+2c for £220 one at £70 plus six at £25. U16,s at £50, Concessions £105 seven at £15. Target 700 to generate circa £70k

3. Ad hoc/new fans - we have the pricing right and the discount is spot on. 10000 over the season to generate £100k, may be ambitious but £70k very achievable

We have would have generated £280k from the above alone, £30k LISA, £20k shirt, £50k Lifeline, £30k match sponsorship, and we start to get our heads above water with finals etc a bonus. More importantly we are acknowledging and rewarding the core fan base whilst encouraging fans to join the club in its mission.

If the intenton is to provoke discussion then fine and well, but how often are your opinions and more importantly your business advice and suggestions on how to run our club directed in the first instance to the club and its officials?

Did you follow it up and offer your services to the PSG? I appreciate you must be very busy but with all your ideas and opinions I am sure you would be welcomed with open arms and go down a treat.People with your experience is just what the club needs. Your passion always shines through so try to chanell it in the right environment.

Yes, but it would be interesting if people would comment on the ideas as opposed to question the motives. This is our club, we will have a major impact on its success or failure, and I feel we are missing the boat.

Pointless discussing the idea's , if the organization making the decisions has already discussed , refined and implemented their own ones of a similar ilk ?

And I understand your motives , they like everybody elses are the right ones , but as I said , unless you are willing to follow through with implementing them , it won't happen

I have suggested certain ones of my own , and once certain necessary problems are sorted , I along with the PSG and the directors will hopefully be considering them

But unless I can convince them personally , it won't happen

It is essentially the corporate club that has put the membership plans together , did you speak to them ? , did you make it clear you were happy to meet and discuss how your idea's could work , and have them play ' Devils Advocate ' on them ?

Idea's are great , but the implementation is quite often an even harder job

As I have stated I put a detailed strategy together and sent it to the club - offering my help whenever needed. I was a member of the CC till last week and was never contacted to sell my idea or even invited to the TC launch. I can accept that if the CC had hundreds of members and I slipped through the net but that isn't true.
I am very concerned for our future, and hope my concerns are simple off season boredom.

If you were a member of the CC , ie more than just a paying member , then surely you would have been in contact on a regular basis with them ?

Everybody was invited to the TC launch , I don't think it was by personal invitation only

So you took your ball home when you couldn't get a backdoor board seat with lisa now it's been taken away again because the same (imaginary) seat has vanished with the corporate club, how true to form you really are.

We are sorry you were not contacted personally, invitation was open house and emailed to all within the current mailing lists within the Club itself and LSV, along with being posted on the website, on this forum, and covered in the local media.

Its unfortunate your ideas may have not been forwarded to us, what you are recommending and what the TC are providing appear to sit in roughly the same place. If you think these can be fine turned then let us know.

Our email address is below and we'd be happy to meet with you if you have something constructive to offer other than insults. We've asked for ideas and assistance from all but we've unfortunately not received anything from you.

We realise the TC will evolve, we realise we will make mistakes, we realise the expectations and ideas of others may differ from our own.

What we will do is listen to our members and fine tune the TC dependant upon the direction its members want it to take.
