After the dust has cleared and through the finger pointing and bickering what are the positives from last night?

16 of 17 players want to stay.

Andy Burnham 'seems' to want to help.

Ellis was on peanuts, if we had 21 on his money we wouldn't have spent 100k.

Has anyone got an opinion on when we are told who our next coach is going to be, that would be a very big positive for everyone.

I was suprised nothing was said about this last night at the forum.

Wasn't it said that a short list was being drawn up this week and hopefully by the end of next week it could be announced? (or did I dream that bit I was dosed up on pain killers

) but who's going to want to come (especially if they have a coaching job elsewhere) until the clubs future is secure?

It sounded to me that its very positive and we are probably in a better situation now than a lot of clubs so any potential applicants should be knocking on the door, it would give eveyrone a feel good factor and a positve move forward.

Positives that i can see are that many many people are working damn hard to try new or improved ideas to not only stop our club from sinking. but to lead the rest in how to operate a professional sports club to a good standard with income streams and Initiatives that people involved with our club have generated. Which will surely reduce the risk of situations not in our control effecting us. It feels like the club and it's running is going to be more "ours" than ever before.

Everything should flow from getting the RFL monies. The club will then be able to move forward and guarantee a new coach, his salary, playing budget etc.

Well it looks like it should work. If i understand what i saw watching the vid of the fans forum correctly, the RFL are impressed by our "player pathway" proposal, just one of it seems many ideas that in time will really benifit Leigh Centurions players and supporters alike. I also like the point that meaningful dialogue has been taking place with the LSV company.
