Not the best player to ever pull on a Leigh shirt, but he left his mark on Leigh RL history by scoring the winning try in the 2006 Northern Rail Cup final v Hull KR.

I am gutted by this. An honest, genuine and friendly man, he always let on and gave his all to the Leigh cause over two years. Whilst he may never feature in a future Leigh hall of fame, he did score the winning try in our memorable first Blackpool final. I respected him as a player and he was a top, top bloke and will be sadly missed. RIP. Big fella, big heart.

| I found out through Andy Isherwood this afternoon and it's since been confirmed on the Swinton Lions website. Absolutely devastating news, he was a lovely bloke and as others have said his memory will live on at Leigh through his winning try in the NRC Final v Hull KR.
