I am just reading the article on Page 10. The bit about Steve Deakin been sacked after he dropped Rooney due to not turning up for training. However Des had put money on him being the top point scorer so sacked the coach!

Well if Swinton can afford that calibre of player on their crowds then we should have nothing to worry about next season

were have they suddenly got money from, especailly when they dont have a ground to play as yet!!!!!!!

Every club is approached by agents at this time of year, a coach ferom a next season championship club was telling our Dave that he had been offered something like 8 Leigh players and a similiar amount of Halifax ones.

He's been rubbish for 2 years now. Think they may be in for a shock if they are expecting big things from him. Hasn't seemed bothered at all whenever i've seen him play recently, NEVER takes on the line anymore either when he's played us.

Doubt Barrow will miss him.

but the question does apply, how can swinton afford those type of players if we struggle on 2.5k crowds
