Did i miss it or did the NRC and Leighs mighty win not even get a mention tonight?

Wouldn't supprise me because listening to 5Live on the way home it never mention us only the SL game results.

To show the biased nature of the programme, 3 schools from SL area of Leeds get to schools finals, big issue. 2 get in from much smaller Halifax and no real mention. I would have hoped that Leeds would have developed RL in the schools but CAS have done a much better job in their area, they have had numerous finalists for many years now but are n't Leeds.

No mention in any of the press I looked at this week either.

Noticeably worse since franchising came in. There may or may not be a relation between the two, but there used to be a round up in most papers on a Monday morning of outside Super League but now no mention of even the NRC Final. Plenty of coverage in the League Express at least; more than I expected.

Boots and all preveiwed the game last week didnt they, so its surprising the result at least wasnt mentioned.

Local tv news on Monday was absolute pants ITV gave us the best coverage with 2 mins in their teatime edition , BBC hang your heads in shame , northwest tonight , sports round up and we got a 1 sentence congratulations as an afterthought by their sports reporter.



Would of thought we'd of seen a bit more , maybe interview with the coach filmed on Monday for example no such luck and guess the reason we saw limited brief hilights because sky owned the rights and bbc weren't willing to pay out for them .

All in all , watched 2 lots of news for about 3mins coverage in total

There were match reports on both the Grauniad and The Independant websites not sure if it was in the printed copy though.

I watched ''Boots n all the tries'' on Tuesday afternoon and it was on that. About 5 mins with Bill Arthur, Terry and Baz. Showed all the tried and Barry repeated what he said on Sunday afternoon that it was the best NRC cup game he has ever seen and credited both sides for the way they played.
