Would there be interest in say a Red polo with white piping, Leigh coat of arms on the left with something like 'Leythers NRC Final 2011' under it - priced at circa £15 ??

The club are looking at options that will sell I beleive.

Id be interested in a t shirt or polo not a new replica, too dear.

Thats why I thought £15 max price point for a decent polo would be affordable, and should make a fiver for the clubs fund via LISA, sell a thousand and it will look fantastic on TV and in the pubs whilst making £5k but whether its the club or not we need to get moving.

personally im wearing my leigh rugby top! would buy 1 just for the build up as £15 is a good price

It’s a great idea but a lot of people are going with family and friends so I think an ‘as cheap as possible’ simple plain Red T Shirt with White writing would sell more and probably make more.

Plain T shirts £1.50 each plus say £3 printing, sell for a fiver. 50p profit, shift 2000 = £1000. How many polo’s would you have to sell to compete 2-300?

I think GLOW may be right on this. With a lot of people making a weekend of it, the cost of the whole weekend could get very expensive. I think the club could shift 1 or 2 thousand if priced at a fiver and advertised that the money goes striaght to helping the club NOW.

Understand what youre saying £5 for wash and throw, £15 for wash and keep. Geetting the right price point is vital. £10 polo anyone?

I think that is exactly what people will do. Buy it, wear it for the day and bin it! Saves washing it

if the club are doing the polos ect, i would start at making around 200-250 ...if they sell then make more. i wouldnt want the club to buy to many and loose money

I know nothing about how difficult it would be to sort, but just throw this in as an idea for a design:

Plain Red t-shirts/white writing. (or vice-versa...or a mixture.)

On the Front:
LEYTHER'S "BOX TICK TOUR 2011"

On The Back:
One below the other, like a series of 'tours dates' with a square box next to each:

"TRAINS CUP"
"2.5K AVERAGE"
"GRAND FINAL"

Maybe do an initial run of a few hundred in the run up to Blackpool. If we are triumphant, then produce another batch with a big tick in the first box!
Then (hopefully) produce a batch with first and second boxes 'ticked' for the last home game of the regular season....and one with all three ticked if/when we make the GF!!

I’d possibly get one but the wife wouldn’t she’d never wear it again, nor would young glows or the other family members on our bus, but they and 20 others all happily wore their 118 shirts at £4 in a go a few years back, even Granddad and Grandma, but none have been worn since.

After the NRC weekend the club should have nothing left as far as merchanise is concerned , they need to shift everything they have

I bought a t-shirt for a fiver at one of the earlier Grand Finals, On the day in the MM Bar. - Year 2000 or 2002,I can't remember which.

Red with 'CENTURIONS' printed vertically down the front and 'LEIGH R.L.F.C' on the back. It looked good on the day and we shifted a few. Something similar for Blackpool would be great and prove very popuar IMO.

I dont think we have a home game before the final ?This could prove quit difficult for the club to sell lots of merchandise.

I strongly agree with Glow - cheap and cheerful, red and white - fiver each..I could bring a few back with me to Canada for the syndicate!
