Looks like Radio Manchester may have some coverage/updates on the internet for us distant fans BUT it lists Hull KR vs Warrington as the "commentary" game.
I've sent an email with my opinion on which game should get the "commentary" since last time I checked Warrington was nothing to do with Manchester

They are only interested in Super League

..but VL has a point about Greater Manchester and the teams within its boundary, especially those playing in a semi final

Trouble is, there would be the same arguments if Wire were on Radio Merseyside - not such thing as 'BBC Radio Cheshire', is there?!

no saints or widnes, but they cover Warrington - bizarre

..slightly nearer to the catchment area though?

I actually disagree, I think GMR are the only media that cover lower divisions properly. I've heard a lot on Rochdale, Leigh, Swinton and Oldham in the last few weeks.

Still doesn't explain why the Wire games on mind.

Radio Manchester cover Wire so will always put them before us (unfortunatly)although must admit I'd have thought we'd have had the bulk of it today as it was a Semi Final.

I'll second that- once the football is out of the way RL gets fantastic coverage on GMR, plus at the end of the day there is a lot more people would rather listen to us play than Leigh. No offence intended by that- in fact I was at the LSV today!

Trevor Hunt was very quick to point out to Ian, that Halifax have already beaten us at Leigh this season. Ian had to remind him that we had also won at their end, but thanked Trevor for immediately casting Leigh in the role of underdogs!

I wrote to BBC North West about the lack of Championship results and they didn't even have the courtesy to reply. A letter in League Express recenrtly said the same thing. Maybe a barrage of emails/letters might do the trick or suggest it to Trevor and co at GMR to see if they can help. It's a simple enough thing for them to do. They could add the Championship scores to the end of the Super League show too. Any bit of publicity helps at our level.
