Alan is a true Leyther and has put hell of a lot of hard work into the club its a sad day indeed
with Arthur and Alan both leaving.. I wish Alan all the best for the future and im 100% sure he will continue to support the team, both Arthur & Alan have my heartfelt thanks for all they have done to move Leigh Centurions forward Top Blokes and i hope everything turns out ok for them both.

So who's actually running the day to day activities of the club

it really doesn't look good for the club, as much as they try and tell fans we are in a good position i'm not convinced.

however i does wish Rowley all the best and hope he finds a job ASAP

I would Like to thank Allan for all his hard work and for always making me and my customers feel so welcome at the club whenever we are there be it in a sponsorship role or just there to watch the game.

A sad loss for the club, and we need to recover quickly............How long wil the clubs overdraft last to pay our players wages?

Well first of all, I want to echo what everyone else has been/will be saying and thank Arthur and Allan for all they have done for the club. I wish them well in their future personal endeavours and hope they will still be seen around the club supporting the mighty Centurions.

This statement actually makes me feel better about our club though .. we now know the reasons why Arthur stepped down and Allan has been honest about the reasons for his departure so there shouldn't now be any conspiracy theories about why they left .. Allan has explained why and I believe him

Some of the things that Allan has said further down the piece about the link up with Wigan and Leigh College and the Centurions running a under 18s team, and the launch of a Junior supporters club backed by a National Supermarket Chain sound absolutely brilliant - I really don't think we have anything to worry about.

I wish Alan the very best of luck, he's always been the utmost professional when dealing with him and was a huge help amongst the chaos of trying to get to Limoux last season. I'm sure he won't have a problem in walking in to another job and I think most of us saw it on the cards once AT left.

Where this leaves the club, I don't know.

I also wants to thank Allan for all hes done for the club, hope hes sucessful in finding a job asap.

Bad news indeed, i hope you guys pull through this, as much as we wind each other up its never nice to see a fellow neighbour in trouble.

Where this leaves the clubs future it is anyones guess at the moment but hopefully good things are on the horizon

Terrible news and Allan has been a great help to me over the years but in and out of Leigh rugby, my first meeting with Allan was around 93/94 when doing some work experince. Ever since I have always found Allan open to ideas and has Leigh running through his blood. I hope everything works out for both Allan and Athurs families.

As for the future for Leigh it's great what Allan mentions but was it all funded by AT and operated by AR??

As I see it nothing is any worse due to AR leaving ,it was inevitable seeing that AT was paying his wages .

I just hope that Arthur's businesses failing is not as a direct result of him ploughing money into the club. I would hate to think that people have lost their jobs and livlihoods as a result of him supporting our hobby!

A shame but inevitable as he was a employee of AT.
Did some good work at Leigh and I've always found him refreshingly honest in a sport that is losing that side of things.

Some huge positives at the end of his email which should help see the club progress.

With all the inevitable changes with whats happened off the field we should hopefully get a clearer indication of who will be running the club and who will be Chief Exec over the coming weeks.
What IS clear is that AR & AT both seem to feel the future is fairly bright judging by there seperate press releases.

i just hope the 'new owner/investors' invite AT and AR too all the games!

im not having pop at someone who obviously worked hard for the club but does anyone think Allan leaving may have got rid of the bad blood between us and super league due to the famous outburst by Allan a couple of years ago when we got left out of super league?

No there are only small minded people who think that it ever exsisted in the first place, if it did why did the LSV get three international games last year? why was the league launch here last season? and the cooperative launch?, why are the RFL coming over next week to have a look at how our Lottery is run successfully? why did we win the community club award last year?

No I agree with you totally mate, just seen to remember a lot of 'well we'll never get in next time after what he said' sort of comments. Ive nwt against the bloke personally - seems to have done a good job in very hard circumstances if you ask me.

If only his critics knew the half of what he's done for this club ever since he came back as Chairman.

Is it beyond the realms of possibility that if and when the club is taken over/restructured that Allan Rowley is asked back to the club?

Good luck to him for the future. He's the kind of guy that might even come back again at some stage under a different regime.

Lets hope the club continues to move forward under a new regime when that arrives.
