Good win BUT not at our best by a long way and some very cheap shots from Batley......... plenty improvement to come from this team yet IMO.

Top of the league still so things moving in the right direction.

I think the lads did well in a very tough game, espicially after the two close games over easter.

BUT we have to get rid of the spell that we have were we take our foot of the gas and concede points. Fair do's to them, they've been able to more than make up for it but they may not be so lucky in the future. If I were Millward, my challenge to the players would be to have a good performance for the whole 80.

Otherwise, a fantastic start to the season and to be still unbeaten at this point is a superb achievement. Long may it continue

will take the win beating second without playing well stands us in good stead for the tests ahead.must just say about the ref though he was dire again today.never looked along the line once for off sides and i think that along with the wind slowed us up a little today.keep it up boys still the best team in the league and enjoying watchin you.

How did the ref not yellow card the Batley forward for sticking his elbow into TG chin - forcing him to drop the ball..... give them the pen for a knock-on.......... absolute disgrace.

Flawless first half performance but we played some dumb rugby at times in the second half and gave away too many cheap penalties so it was inevitable that Batley would score after so much time on our line.

Still, a great margin of victory even if it flatters us somewhat and a very satisfactory Easter period.

I thought it was a very ordinary performance , the ref ruined it with his constant blindness to their high shots ,and his enterpretation of the Rules, but a wins a win , i would stop watching Rugby if Batley where my team , i said before the game they are a Spoiling team ,and i was right ,bonus for Leigh was they didnt get a Bonus point, so well done lads ,i feel we missed Duffs to .

Think you're being a little unfair on Nicholson there as he was in my top three today with Ridyard and Ellis.

Im not knocking Nico , just feel we missed Duffs speed at the play the ball ,Nico had a decent game ,but i feel it was a game of many mistakes ,to many dropped balls , as i said a win and no bonus point for them ,and i would have the correct forcast score with my Joker , if they had missed one of their goals,still we are top of the League ,but i feel we can play much better.

Yes we had a spell were things went a bit awry but was that not due to players changing position ? after their 2 tries we settled down again although we did make a few mistakes

I was more disappointed in Batley than how average we were, particularly in the 2nd half.

I think that Batley only threatened our line when we made mistakes and coughed up the ball in our own 20. They hardly broke the line in the 1st half (did they at all?) and only had a couple of breakaways in the 2nd half.

Batley were truly awful in the 1st half, but maybe it was our line speed and pressure in the tackle which made this th be the case. In the 2nd half things stuck a little bit more for Batley which didnt in the first and we were not quite as clinical as we have been of late with speculative passes going to ground. I would raher see us making a break, backing up, trying the off-load and then knocking on than none of the 3 points just mentioned so keep doing this Leigh as I wont be shouting at you for trying this if it doesnt come off (unlike some imbeciles sat fairly close to me).

We are still unbeaten after 13 games of the regular season so long may this continue.

Oh, and how good was it to see Nashy back today.

I was impressed at that.
Just look at that fixture list, throw in Batley are a team that always seem to get a win out of us and I think it was a good show.
A gale force wind didn't help our brand of RL today, however we ground out a win and with Nanyn clocking up a very good personal record there was lots of positives.

Sets us up nicely for our rich foreign cousins visit on Friday.

Big thumbs up to the team for this win. After a very tough run of games lately this win against the second place team is a great result. It seems we didn't play our best but I'm sure the score line was better than most of us expected. Difficult conditions and some team changes yet we beat our main rivals and don't even allow the bonus point. Well done Leigh !!!

Crowd was 2,285. We're now three points clear at the top with Batley in third. A little surprised that Fev have a better points difference than us but it's fair to say they've had a slighter kinder run of fixtures.

They`ve also played an extra game............

We've both played 7 games now after Fev's inactivity on Good Friday.
