I think you'll find Frank that the coalition government will claim they inherited the bad weather from 13 years of Labour misrule.

I think you'll find Honest Joe, that the opposition will blame the coalition government for not doing enough to prevent the snow and have gone back on promises of sunshine.

And soon the Tory Bankers who caused all our problems will get their Christmas bonuses our fuel allowance will have been spent it will still be cold. The incompetant Bank of England gosvenor will still be attending free banquets at the Guildhouse in London dressed like a penguin and the prices of hot water bottles ares going through the roof.

How will this help Leigh RLFC ? An absolute disgrace and have you seen there is nothing worth watching on TV tonight and I can't go to the pub because I am too frail.

I reckon well into the New Year, the thermometer in the car at 0530 this morning read MINUS TWELVE!!! Weather reports also saying it will be a degree colder everyday from today until Thursday, personally I cant see a way that the Salford match will go ahead.

We should call the Salford game off now i can't see it clearing anytime soon.

It's not looking good maybe the match should be rearranged to save on the costs with continuously clearing the LSV for a game that isn't looking likely to happen this year again deja vu?

If it just stays cold and we don't get any more snow then we might have a chance of the game going ahead as long as the stadium approaches are sufficiently gritted.

The pitch has undersoil heating and I bet there are no footie games called off when the ground has undersoil heating.

Closing schools when it snows amazes me. I used to go to school when it snowed.It is about times people got on with life. I am going out food shopping this afternoon and if I can do that why should the game be called off ?

Every time it snows this country comes to a halt it happens every year and whatever government is in does nothing about it. Just excuse after excuse.

And I bet you can drive down the East Lancs if you wanted to 4 by 4 or not.

Apart from today's games at Chelsea and West Brom and yesterday's at Wigan, Arsenal, Birmingham, Hamilton, Rangers, St. Johnstone etc, all of whom have undersoil heating!

The Salford game last year was called off by the police weren't they? If the road was deemed that traitorous why have them open to the public in the first place? I know there's health & safety & that but most people use their common sense & if they don't feel comfortable driving/walking they won't go

Exactly. If the pitch and stadium are fit to host a game, it should be on. If people don't fancy going out in the snow and cold they won't. I never asked for any games to be called off in July because i'm a ginge and I might get sunburned!

Fingers crossed here that it does go ahead, and I can get by train, bus and reindeer over from Huddersfield

Admittedly the major reason for travelling is to see family, but if I do and the game is off, I shall be more than a little peed off

I bet our Dave and about 200 others were saying this Jonny when stood on Salford Station at 10:45pm last friday whilst waiting for a train that never came 'cause it was cancelled because of a 'bit of snow'

26 was at 11-05pm from Manchester Shudehill and is supposed to get to Salford Central Station at 11-14pm but it is always late.

And there are late busses on Fridays to the capital.

We have to be strong Fred.

We now have 8 days to make sure this game happens. I will bloody come to leigh from Bramhall to help to get this game on, and shift as much snow as it takes. I don't think I can take much more of not watching the boys. It's bloody killing me.
