I would be very suprised if both of them were to be first choice next year, glad to add numbers to the squad.

Govin is our back up in the halfs but generally where will he feature 9,13...? Nicholson will be given a chance this season but I think we may see Govin at 9 frequently maybe. I don't know to much history with Gorski so I wouldn't like to comment about him but boy our preseason should be interesting I bet Ian is pondering too with our new signings

if rowley carries on like this i might need to change my opinion of him as a head coach.

I personally think if he stays fit Govin we be a major asset. I'm very surprised he joined us without too much fuss and very little competition for his signature.

We have an embarrasment of riches in the halves and hooking positions all of a sudden. Gorski will also add competition. I'm peronally looking forward to seeing the impact Adam Higson will make this season as he had lots of injury problems and played out on the wing at the back of end of last season but was still more than useful.

looking at the squad listing in the Journal - a strong 17 but not much experience beyond that...not saying thats a bad thing...hope we stay clear of injuries..

There's a lot of talent and potential beyond the '17' - more so than last season.

I was thinking the same thing myself Alan, Hoppy, Briscoe, Pownall, and especially Nico are 4 of the best prospects ive seen for a while and all Leigh lads with great attitudes, the two duals well one we know well in Blythe (did anyone else see him on TV last - thur- night?) and the other kid Armstrong looks a very fine prospect, Govs and Gorski are two experienced campaigners, yes i'd like a fast winger but that 'tree' is empty - anyway McGilvery aint no slouch.

wouldn't disagree with that, I'm just hoping they will be able to slot into the team without pressure rather than being thrown in at the deep end (as we know what Leigh fans are like!)

Hopefully Govin will have a injury free season and revert to some of the form that made him popular (Fev away a few years back springs to mind

Certainly 2 signings that seem to have impressed Basil when he had a look at them so the attitude and application must be spot on.

Don't know a lot about Gorski whatsoever tbh.

But Govin for me has been that player that though not renowned as exceptional has stood out every single time I have seen him play (I am sure we all have one of these), and whoever he has played for, even when out of posistion at times as impressed me and always wanted to see him at Widnes. Seem's to have a lot of skill and an immense work rate and heart for the game. Some chockin injuries have ceratinly held him back but hopefully he can get a good rest break and come back strong (shame with you lot but still)

Pleased Gov's back. Gives us options and will do well for us when fit.

Gorski was pretty decent a few seasons back but is probably past his best. I was dissapointed when Fax let Govin go as he defnatley has plenty of talent and when he manages to get on the field is a good player for any team at this level. Think he will go well for you.
