Hey guys im a quins fan planning on coming up for the friendly, I will be coming up on the train probably and be going back possibly the following day. Any idea on a good hotel where I can stay? Thanks
Oh and at least you know one of us is coming up !

nearest station is in atherton,catch the 582 to leigh 15 mins,hotel on the sports village |

Newton is n`t too far away and the bus would drop you off on St Helens Rd.Obviously if coming direct from London you`ll be going through Warrington Bank Quay or Wigan so a transfer to atherton or Newton would be required, if possible on a sunday. |

But if you stay at the Greyhound there`s the Forresters, Comfy Gill,( forget the Grey Horse) and the Chat Moss, the latter you`ll find the food is excellent( 2 for £10 and plenty of choices) and it`s home cooking as opposed to that microwave dross. All within 1/2 mile or so of the Greyhound. |

Hotels in Leigh pretty much covered by others , also Manchester is accessable for more hotel choice.
If using public Transport you'd be best catching the Bus rather than mess with Trains to Atherton from Manchester / Wigan.

Buses are every half hour from Warrington throughout Sunday if memory serves me right? |
