Seeing the Super League fixtures come out has whetted the appepite...anybody decided what their plans are for Toulouse this year? Presuming it's on a Saturday, are people doing the Friday & Sunday flights from Manchester or going a bit earlier via Carcassonne etc?

Or even earlier still, to allow for volcanic eruptions?

That was one option I was considering myself but depends on the date of the game etc I suppose - don't think I can afford to go out on the Wednesday like last year, unless of course it's the Good Friday game and we have no choice!

Good Friday is do-able from a flights point of view, but Easter Monday is a pain in the backside as you'd have to wait until Thursday to come back.

How much roughly did the flights cost last year?

Been doing a few 'test' dates this morning and you're generally looking at £88 return from Manchester, flying out Friday night (land at 10pm) and flying back at 10pm Sunday night - assuming it's a Saturday game. There are a few dates (May Bank Holiday being one of them) where the prices shoot up, but you can get it pretty cheaply if flying out on the Wednesday (particularly if staying on Chateau de Couch!)

EDIT - Anything after mid-July seems to jump up to £140 return, so I'll go for Saturday 9th July please

I think after last year I'd definitely prefer going a day early and staying a day later! There's no thread title that can get me as excited as 'Toulouse 2011' I can't wait!!!

To go out a day earlier you need to fly from Liverpool to Carcassonne, or you can go out on the Wednesday as we did this year and fly Manchester-Toulouse. All depends on the time of year for me, I think.

I was thinking purely financial..........If it`s over the Easter period the cost of flights can increase.

Do you have to organise your own accomodation? I'm hoping to go this year but being only 17 I reckon I'd have some trouble if we have to sort out our own accomodation.

Pretty similar to any dates after mid-July, though there'd be no option but to fly Liverpool-Carcassonne as the Wednesday flight from Manc to Toulouse doesn't seem to be available (even though I flew on it at Easter this year!)




The club do a trip as well to save all that hassle, but be prepared to pay extra for that privelige. Can't imagine there being any problem with hotels because of your age as long as you've got a decent (Visa) debit card that you can use for reservations etc.
