Guys, can anyone tell me if there are any places to stay in or around Atherton.
Had a look on Premierinn & Travelodge to no avail.

Any info would be appreciated.

The Park Inn at Leigh, just down the road!

There must be a pub in Atherton that does B & B. Doesn't the Foundry in Leigh do that too?

By the way The Park Inn at Leigh Sports Village is an hotel and not a pub, if the Inn part had you thinking it was.

Daisy Hill Hotel in....Daisy Hill!! Just up the road from Atherton. Pub with accomodation.

Not sure if it is still the case, but pretty sure that ANY pub with a name that includes 'Inn', 'Hotel', etc is legally obliged to provide over-night accomodation to anyone who requests it....... 'cos that would be what it's orginal licence was granted for.

You might be right......from what I can gather off t'interweb, a lot of pubs called themselves 'Hotel' or 'Inn' to get round the Sunday licensing laws, especially in Wales and Scotland, where a lot of places were 'dry' on Sundays!!

I'm willing to believe the other 'laws' you posted but the suggest that anywhere in Scotland is dry, let alone a pub, is clearly just nonsense?!?
