So he's stuck with Leigh then! Not exactly an ideal situation, everyone knowing he wanted out but has been forced to stay!

I think that's a bit unfair. Nothing wrong in having a look-see if you can better yourself.
If you think the grass is greener elsewhere and find out that it isn't - then that's a good thing and can get you focused on the job in hand.
Leigh is a club ideally placed for ambitious people to come and put themselves in the shop window, so to speak. it is up to us to make the most of them whilst they are here.

Absolutley agree, everyone does it in any walk of life, the difference being you and I do not let our current employer find out or the customers of your current employer, not being harsh just stating a point!

From near relegation to finishing 3rd I think a job was done last season in starting to turn us around . Hopefully next year we will see more consistency as at times it was like watching 2 different Leigh teams play last season . Onwards and upwards hopefully

Maybe Salford wanted him and he didn't want to become an assistant again or maybe the truth lies somewhere in between, having dealt with both parties I know who I believe.

Well I prefer to take Ian's word. Although I was angry he left the first time for Saints he was man enough to stand up in front of us and tell us his reasons for leaving. I'll never forget that day in the Mick Martyn bar after the game at Chorley.

One thing I'd say about Ian is he's pretty honest and that hasn't always helped him during his career. Let's hope he can strengthen the squad doe next season.
