I hear a few people are wanting their money back Ste. You mentioned at the start of this fund raising campaign that all the money would be going to Ian Millward to strengthen the squad. They'll be buggered if they are going to squander their cash on Salford!

Doubt it Peggy us LISA members and most on this board would bust a gut to raise funds for Leigh RLFC.

You really should not believe this stuff about Basil leaving until it is announced as a definite.

Regarding our club incidentally' wouldn't it be foolish everytime someone posted a rumour on here that a denial was issued if the club knew it was not true.

Every penny LISA raises goes to the club for players who pull a Leigh shirt on.

Guys as of tonight we have collected in £5680.50 with another £100 on route. If anyone knows any of the four on the above list it would be good if they could let us know whether they have any sponsorship income to declare or not? It would be good to get to the £6k mark so another £219.50 is needed.

Lynda and myself would like to be in a position come Monday to give a final declaration to the club.

I think we should do the exact same walk next season with the exact same route. I think because we got a bit of publicity and the fans have seen how much of a success this seasons was I think we'd get a fair few more walkers.

Its a good shout Tom, just have to see what the fixture list provides.

Well if they agreed to sponsor you ,you should name and shame them on a thread.

Not really my style, but I will say, if it was me who'd promised it, I'd have paid up before I thought of chasing anyone else.

No worries Dennis, its easy to genuinely forget, especailly when youve been really busy.
I bet the persons Lucy was refering to have, just forgot and has Christies is such a good cause, no would just not pay up.
Watching a programme a while ago and it mentioned that 35% of the money pledged for the RACE FOR LIFE wasnt ever collected.

Last year 700 people did the starlight walk for wigan and leigh hospice nearly 200 people didnt hand any money in and some of them had done the same the previous year and even tried to participate again this year and where told they couldn't, unfortunatley they are not allowed to name and shame
