First half was rugby union and Leigh RUFC won the half 22-0. But Miners did well to keep the score that low because Leigh RUFC were on Miners line for 40 minutes.
Leigh Miners then dominated the 2nd half after a shaky first 10 minutes and won the half 34-4.

Final Score Leigh RUFC 26-34 Leigh Miners.

Miners brought 2 teams one played union one league, the 19 players LRU had played both games.
Union ref didnt kill the Miners lads on technicalities, but Miners couldnt get out of their 20 all half.
RL ref was a prat, incorrect ptb etc, Miners got on top but struggled for 10mins before scoring quick tries, LRU then had a decent spell scoring a try, all was level until a controversial last play try gave the game to Miners. Both teams were a mixture of under 17's and 18's.
Good crowd game played in good spirits and LRU are far better at moving the ball wide, mom LRU number 10 Duffy ? and C. Partington for miners imo
