I notice Sky had to change the rules of their acca earlier for the octopus, think they had a 500/1+ acca running and the last one was not Spain to win the match but Spain to win the match any time, if only they had applied that rule on the other 8 games the acca would have been 10/1 great in handsight!!!

I don't get football anymore, I didn't watch England v West Germany because some good bands were on at Glastonbury and I didn't bother with the final beacuse In watched the re-run of the British GP and Top Gear. Then the mancs at work called me 'sad' and got really annoyed! I just don't get the 'if you don't watch soccerball, you're not a real man' attitude. I saw someone run into a Brazilian players back and fall over crying like james graham and the brazil player got sent off? Is that a rule? Why was he crying? Why didn't the brazil lad crack him? Why do people bother with it?

Football is a great sport to watch when its played properly, and the atmophere looked awsome - different nationalities flags no matter who was playing etc.
The Germany v Uruguay playoff was probably best game imo - the pressure was off as such and both teams relaxed and played football.

Must admit I quite enjoyed most of Germanys performances (with one notable exception

).
The way they and Argentina attacked teams was pretty good to watch.

When was the last time anyone played football properly? Even Brazil are boring now.

The bigger the prize at stake then sadly thats when teams don't express themselves as such and play safety/negative first. Might be a bit obvious but Spain are by far the best team, and play the game as it should too.

They still jump around like girls when people are a bit rough with them.
