Trying to get lapsed fans to attend a game, even at a tenner is like trying to run up Everest backwards.

Leigh should pay a bit of money and buy a huge advert in The Journal and Reporter, let the town know about it. Also, if it isn't already get it ont' screen at LSV so people driving past see it.

I've told a few lapsed fans and it makes no difference what the price is.

Will be too late for the Reporter & Journal anyroad as the match will have already taken place by the time it's delivered.

When will people start to listen , these so called ' lapsed ' fans will never come watching Leigh again , even if they do it will only be for one or two games , the 1 st mediocre performance will see them back in the pub telling all who will listen how crap we are

They have gone , kaput , end of , forget about them , the future lies with the youth , or new fans who have never been before , that is the target we should be aiming for

Probably true but well done for trying. Everyone should offer to take somebody else's kids for the afternoon. Cheapest babysitter they'll ever get. Get the kids hooked and they'll nag their parents to take them.

Someone 2nite was saying we and us reffering to Leigh then slagged off our halfbacks he was talking bout Fev and Fax at home. He finished by saying i've only been to two games this season ha. Forget bout old fans.

I think if you are a fan you are a fan. I try telling so called lapsed fans to come back. It is always a previous chairman or about everyone who is involved with our club is on the make.



Waste of time.When you are a Leyther you are a Leyther if you aren't you will never watch the best side we have had for 30 seasons.

I can go back to the pub or the gym or watch Star Trek instead of going to a game. On balance I would rather watch live sport and especially one representing the town where I was born.

well said frank, it would not matter how poor we became i am and will always be a leigh fan, its in my blood, so even if i wanted to stop i couldn't. i may moan occasional, ok then quite abit, but that's because i along with the rest of us leythers CARE what goes on at OUR club, and we love it and want whats best, i just don't understand soem folk, i was beside myself when i could not see our lads in limoux, something i never want to repeat again, once a leigh fan always a leigh fan.
