I'm in London on that Friday. That's going to be a mad rush back for me. By agreeing to a Friday Evening KO, together with the difficullty of P/T players agreeing more time off work, we can safely assume Leigh will be concentating on the Thursday game with Widnes. Not that I'm criticising that decision BTW.

However It will reduce Leigh's away support by a good 50% IMO. Not fantastic for a shared gate.

I'm sure Matt will still insist that the 2k will turn up

The players wont be there, well not the better ones anyway. Get the fans to save their money to buy a player for the business end of the season, 1000 fans spending £40 buys 2 fantastic players for the rest of the season.

Don't see why not by 6pm M62 is relatively quiet on a Friday and it is hardly an ardous journey. Coaches could leave at 6-30pm and be there in plenty of time.

Lads have missed that much work with the 2 trips to France and Barrow, they will be lucky to get time off for the game from their employers.
Last thing the returning fans need is drink fuelled hopes and a 90 point defeat, tell em not to go and save their money for Widnes.
A FT Bradford will mulla us on a Friday night, they would beat us on the sunday by 30, Friday I am going for a 70 point gap.

Pity we couldn't have tried to get/got the Bulls go for a Saturday evening kick off as some kind of compromise which gives Bradford a chance to try something different to get in fans in a match which is unattractive to them and us a chance to get a few more fans up there.

In fact CC games should be 3PM Sunday unless on TV IMO if the game wants the competition to be treated seriously (the attraction of a cup game is a upset, would Barrow have beaten Cas with a 8pm KO on a friday night

), Full Time v Part Time gets even more of a advantage by doing these things, its not a SL fixture so some players will need to finish work early for many clubs outside the top flight.

thats a real pity..will significantly lower the away support...

The main priority for us is the Widnes game the following week, by playing this on the Friday night, we get more rest.

After what the team has just endured to fulfill the last fixture and put in a performance to ensure we're in the next round surely most of us can make the trip to Bradford, even if it is a Friday night.

I did also mention that the away support would be decimated if the game was played on a Friday



But, as glow says, after the effort taken just to earn such a tie, the least we can do is travel an hour over t'hill and show our support.

well i'll be finishing work early to make sure i get the coach to bradford & i'll be doing the same for the widnes game even though its at home so i can go to the park inn & have a few quality beers before hand.

the support will be less, but probably not that much. Hasn't put me off anyway.
