I think they should play the game on Sunday. They are going to be absolutely shattered when they eventually reach their destination sometime tonight, none of them will get a proper nights sleep and they could end up getting turned over on Saturday by a fresh Limoux team. A complete rest on Saturday would do them the world of good.

Just imagine if there are delays on their coach trip and they only get to their destination in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It also means I could watch the game and other people could book on the Sunday flight assuming the flight isn't cancelled Sunday morning .

To be honest, given that they may have to do the entire trip again in reverse (if the return flights get cancelled) I doubt many of the playing staff would agree.

I know they have to try and get there and get it out of the way on Saturday but it could be a banana skin if they hit problems on their coach trip through France. There will definitely be lots more traffic going through France. Imagine playing the game on Saturday if none of your players managed to get any sleep. It would be a disaster.

24 hours rest on Saturday would do them the world of good and I could see the game :O) (totally selfish reasons)

why cudnt it ave be pp and replayed next wk/end and put the sheff game back to a midwk game

That's because league points are more important than a run in the challenge cup.

Wether we like it or not I doubt we will win the Challenge Cup and we have two priorities this season and they self evidently are the NRC and the Championship.

It is best to get the game played and for the team to get home as soon as possible in preperation for our next league fixture.

For myself and others I am gutted I will miss the game but there is nothing we can do about it now.

Our team is part time and one game a week is all they should have to play.

Feel sorry for Limoux to be honest as their club will have organised a lot of things with more than a handful of away fans in mind.

From the latest posted info as to the location of the Leythers, they should ask to move it to Sunday. If kick off is 4pm CET, they will have arrived at 4am at the earliest, hardly seems fair to expect them to perform well after that trek.
