Yes Nanyn is a good kicker but IMO Hartley is better?!

Because Hartley didn't come on until near the end of the game. Nanyn had been kicking pretty well up until Hartley came on and there was no need to take kicking duties away from him. If it had been a close game maybe Hartley would have kicked.

Have you been to the same game as me today Nozzy. The only kicks MN made today were right under the sticks. I am willing Mick to pick his game up but I am starting to loose confidense in him.

I just felt that he hadn't done THAT badly with the boot and he has been 1st choice kicker at many teams. If it had been a close match then I would have told Hartley to take over, or if Nanyn had been REALLY shocking at kicking I would have told Hartley to take over. But the game was over and I feel that to have stopped Nanyn from carrying on kicking would only have knocked his confidence (Something he already seems to be low on IMO)

From what I've seen Hartley is our #01 choice at kicker. He also seems able to be accurate without having to keep his eye/boot in, so to speak.
That said it may be a choice to use Nanyn in games we are winning easily this season (may get few and far between from now on though) to keep Hartley as fresh as possible during a game and prevent causing or adding to a niggling injury (and no I'm not saying he has one already).

Was it just my imagination then or did Nanyn not kick one from near touch in the final quarter??? Or did they change kickers without telling me?

He kicked a few from the touchline and the ones that missed were reasonably close.

Considering the kicks he missed where all out wide who's to say anyone else would have kicked them,plus Hartley did'nt kick in the Barrow game did he?in fact dont think he has kicked much since playing Fev.

Just to explain that last part............. the kicks Nanyn missed were by a close margin and not close to the sticks.......

Maybe IM just wants Tim to focus on his game at six, without the added pressure of goal kicking.

This thread seems to be getting confusing! Hartley did kick in the Barrow game - he kicked three out of three, after Nanyn missed the first one. Then Nanyn kicked the final one, to earn the draw.

Lets just be thankfull we have two quality kickers (well 4 if you count Morty and Stanton plus Robbie has slotted a few over n'all)

Micks first miss against Barrow was a bad one but his last kick was fine

His kicking helped us win the Grand Final so lets not be too hard on him!
