I am trying my hardest to obtain a DVD of Leigh's challenge cup final win, but I am finding it very hard to obtain one. Anybody have one I can purchase. I keep telling my lad that we did win it and I will prove it.

Amazing weekend that I lost my voice for about 4 days after the game.

Surprising thing was I actually think all us Leythers were confident we'd win despite Leeds being odds on at the bookies.

Been practically all downhill since but then Woody came along so that made it bearable.

Wish we had a woody now and come to think of it a des to !!!!!!!

I wish we had a Foxy also. Gets overlooked Phil but he was a very influential player.

What about Steve Donlan he was a world class player and toured in Aussie and Capt the GB side dont think we will see the likes of that 80/ 81 side ever again pace power skill and several World Class players as well. Whenever Woody or Dessie got the ball you never knew what was gonna happen seen try,s that i,ll never see again in my lifetime watchin Leyth thats for sure !!!!!

maybe because back in those days it was a more or less 'level playing field' where money was concerned, because thats one of the main reasons thats ruined the game for the likes of us lack of cash, and the loss of main income streams.

But where can RAZBAZ obtain a copy on DVD?

woody and des are also uppermost in our memories but in reality the whole team was superb and did not carry any players.

kenny green, bilsbury, tabern you can name anybody in that team in glowing terms.

totally different today although all these years on i still wake up on match days looking forward to the game and a pre match drink.

I still maintain I'll never attend a Challenge Cup Final unless we're in it and if that means I don't get to one then so be it.

Unfortunately I wasn't born when we won in in 1971 but I've seen the game and it still brings a smile and sense of pride. The way the game is ran now it's unlikely we'll ever get back to Wembley but you never know hey!!!

I thought Phil Fox was a good player too very good winger .
