Their academy use to train at Platt Lane their old first team training place before they moved to Carrington, I don't know if thats still the case though.

This is not the first time this rumour has surfaced, its not for training its for the teams blow 1st team to play on, and the Arabs are investing in RL via buying the club. One quick way to SL I suppose

City have superb training facilities at Carrington - on the site of the former Shell Club there, I believe. Can't see how LSV can better those facilities - apart from the 3G pitch I suppose.

They want to branch out and it seems you can run a club on one players wages from the premiership

The academy still train at Platt Lane as far as i know and Carrington is plenty big enough for Citys current first team. I had heard a whisper about a premier league club interested in the training facilites at east but it wasn't Manchester City.

Well living here I hear all sorts of stories about Mega rich folk who just want to be worshipped and get their name in the Leigh Journal/ Reporter.And then there,s the mention they,d get on Al Jazeera.

This LSV rumour could be true but I have heard as these folk like a bit of contact sport and think wendyball isn,t to their taste so they are considering a takeover of 3 or 4 clubs in West Yorkshire.

It,ll happen in Leigh too I think sooner rather than later.

Blackburn have two excellent training facilities, out in the sticks near Clitheroe.

Training Facility 1 - 1st team and Reserves - at the top of the hill. Full size astro turf indoor pitch, Gym, sauna's, plus about 5 outdoor pitches behind.


Training facility 2 - Academy and youth teams - at the bottom of the hill, another 4 or 5 pitches.

Blackburn's training ground is already top of the range. Only other one is Latics as they used the 3G during last winter, but then again they own Christopher Park so can't see them giving up land ownership to be the LSV's b1tches.
