Sadly yes we have gone down. However, i will be there with my season ticket again next year backing basil and the boys. We will be a strong next season. So i call on all you leythers to do the same as me and back the club!

With next years salary cap being set at only £200,000 as against the £400,000 this season, how many players will have to leave, and can Leigh really afford Robbie Paul?
He will take up a minimum of around 20% of the cap space alone.

We will spend 400k as these deals were signed prior to relegation no sporting organisation in the world can deny any employee their rightful earnings  |

Sorry I forgot the club chairmen in their wisdom voted for a decrease, and all current contracts will be null and void after relegation.
That would mean one player potentially eating up 25% of Leighs salary cap, and that on a player who will be 34 years of age at the start of next season.
It doesn't seem like a wise investment too me. |

We've asked for a 'special dispensation' to exceed the cap. Apparently, according to CC, Toulouse and Gateshead, there are loads of these 'special dispensations' available, to be taken advantage of! |

We are following the 'Celtic' rule of cap workings in the lower leagues.
Afterall they have done nothing wrong in terms of the cap, its just the players that shouldn't have been here |
