If we go down will IM and the other signings come? I do not see the point of them coming because we will not get the next franchise and IM and the other signings will not be there for the franchise after that. So whats the point, may just save some money???

Like Fax, you have no chance of getting a franchise full stop but as fans you want to see the best team you can on the park.

I can't see basil coaching in championship 1! It would also be a massive step down for Paul, Bibey, Duffy etc.

If we go down the best thing would be to shut the club down. Save everyones money and support Miners/Easts in an honest comp.

this must be a record for the most times a thread has been started on this. There are 3 options, assuming we finish in the bottom 2:

1) The rules get changed and we are allowed to stay uo OR the 2 leagues get merged into 1

2) All of the new signings say "no thanks" and we start from scratch in Champ 1

3) They swallow their pride, take a massive pay cut and come to play against London Skolars and Hunslet.

I really cannot see number 3 happening. If the directors were not sure that number 1 was happening, they would be extremely foolish to gamble on staying up, having already smashed the salary cap for Champ 1 to smitheerens...

So option 1 is what we have to hope for now..

Barrow have also been told their stadium isn't up to it. ('tired' was the word used by the RFL.) Des Johnston has had a lot to say about it (justifiably in my opinion) and has asked why others can't have some of the 'dispensations' that Gateshaed enjoy.

they have come up with other criteroa but you can guarentee that toulouse will get in, why else would they have put toulouse in our league to get them sorted out to put them in super league.
