Someone said after the game that new TV screens had been fitted in the North stand concourse. Didn't see them myself but have they been fitted under the other stands and are they going to show the live game? That's providing Fred's got his plug socket yet?

Must say I did notice TV screens near the bar last night. Was only thinking yesterday that we needed some of these.

Did notice that they had sky sports news on for the football results.

Yeah they had the screens on near the food and drinks place under the North Stand.

Would be ace if the video footage was streamed through to them, though I'd hate to have a culture like at the Reebok where folk spend half the game watching the match on the concourse so that they're nearer to the bar.

If we do go down the "start your Saturday night out" route, then quicker service and cheaper ale is a must, obviously given a bit of negotiation with the LSV.

In fact, having read my post back, maybe we're barking up the wrong tree and it's EMC who need their hands banging together, with LSV having little to no control over the bars?

I think you will find Matt that they only control the actual bars and NOT the areas, can you imagine LSV management giving control of any part of [size=150THEIR[/size stadium to anyone else?

Was thinking purely from a pricing point of view Fred, in which case EMC are the culprits? Unless, of course, the fees that they are charged by the LSV mean that they [ihave[/i to charge such high prices to remain profitable?

Sorry, but you are probably right but then again these bar/catering companies in stadiums do seem to be a little out of touch with reality

Think you're spot on the money there Fred, though few are as pricey as the LSV, in my experience. I dare say that Leigh is a very different proposition to many stadiums where EMC operate, as people will sup throughout the game at Leigh, given the right price. If they sat back and thought about it, they'd make a fortune, even if they knocked 50p off the price of a pint and had a couple pre-poured to deal with the queues more efficiently.
