With all the negativity surrounding the club at the moment ie bad results, phantom signings, no promotion, club shop closing, poor crowds could the club not come up with a way of lifting the fans' spirits in some way? Ive not got much idea how but maybe a free game entry ala Widnes or a pre game barbecue day. Any suggestions? I just need some effing good news as Im feeling crap about rugby at the moment.

LSV have said the club can't do one of those due to health and safety reasons. I kid you not!

The more I hear about the LSV clowns, the more convinced I am that they only want one RL team in the Borough. All they seeem to do is hinder rather than help.....and still no signs indicating that Leigh Centurions play at the stadium.

I can see that LEGENDS bar closing shortly. No atmosphere, nowt to do with Leigh Centurions and prices to send you over to Easts club. (BTW, wasn't cask beer mentioned there once?)

No wonder you can count easily the number of Leythers that frequent the Legends establishment. Certainly NO pictures or traces of real life Legends in there!

I know of only one person who has frequented the Legends Bar, and that was a Hyde United fan who came to the LGFC-Bradford game last season

Thats mainly to do with them only playing there once a month

The very few Gateshead fans that were celebrating in the Legends Bar after the game were asking for straws with their pints!

Probably to try and make it last longer due to the excessive prices on offer

Its enough to turn you into an RMI fan.

I think it's more that there arms were so tired from all the clapping and cheering, they just wedged the straws in the gaps in their teeth and sat back

Don't blame the lsv for the poor performance of the club - when leigh recently beat widnes at the lsv the posts where very different.
The franchise system is the biggest cause - taking away the clubs ability to challenge for sl is the problem for me.
But to think the lsv is the root of leighs problems is wrong in my opinion. They have a facility but a business run by amateurs and volunteers.

There is no doubt as a club we are underperforming both on and off the pitch , but also the total lack of reality of the LSV management is not helping things

They have been hampered by some incredibly bad planning and building decisions but unless things start to change in a big way the sustainability of both the club and the LSV will be in doubt

All are to blame and all need to look to work together to rectify things

But I somehow doubt it will happen , possibly pride and an ill concieved self importance will get in the way

The Stadium as been open for some 6 months now.......I would love to know how much of a loss it's running at ??.................Only Leigh East seem to be raking it in on match days.............can anyone seriously see the position improving ??

I would counter that argument by saying the LSV is run either by amatuers or idiots

To cheer all us LRLFC fans up the LSV company could declare that they are no longer able to trade & that they have to sell their assets.Leigh rlfc directors could then simply purchase the ground at a knock down price & all will be well in the world.

I wouldn't say that in jest either. Stranger things have happened.

In 2 years time when that very ground assists us in getting into SL and in 3 years time when we are selling it out I will ask you the same again.

Both parties need to bang their damn heads together,

But would we be able to afford the running costs? And would a 'council facility' not just be bailed out by WMBC?
