Paying off contracts would be wasted money, I reckon. Unless we get an Apprentice cast-off to flog the deadwood to other clubs.

We always hear the same argument about paying players off, and I'm not disputing that players would be entitled to get paid.
But do we have anything about us at all in terms of transfer dealings etc? Surely Allan Rowley's background with player management & representation etc would suggest we should at least have that skillset at the club. If that's the case surely we could offload a few players on loan or on short term contracts, with the recipient clubs (probably NL2 clubs looking for signings in time for an end of season push) willing to cover a fair portion, if not all, of the contract payments. So we could free some wages up if we really wanted to. And loan signings returning to parent clubs, like Nanyn for example, would incur no payoff at all on our part. Etc, etc...
Even if the recipient clubs couldn't afford the contract payments and we have to contribute towards them and take losing the difference on the chin, offloading 4 or 5 under-performers would free up enough cash to bring in at least a couple of half decent loan signings to try and sure things up for the rest of the season.

| The players who we are talking about were given 2 year deals.
We can,t unload them to save money they,d still have to be paid.
We have to make the best of what we have but I,d bite the bullet and drop them and play lads who want to impress.

Calm down dear, it's just an interview.
I'm sure Paul will want to speak to the team before he starts splashing his plans in the papers

If you were an NL2 club, would you want any of our players?

| Personally i dont blame Paul, a pair of kings always beats a pair of 3s in cards Paul can only play the hands he has ,we are not good enough full stop ,i think at least 5 of this weeks team should be dropped and maybe shown the door ,we will struggle for the rest of the season ,what am i saying ? we have struggled ALL SEASON up to now ,i will still be there though on Sunday .

| The clubs recruitment in the pre season was to say the least abysmal. We all waited for more signings following the Donlan announcement and nobody of note came along while all our rivals signed good quality players.
You need a blend of youth and experience along with quality and that wasn't struck during Neil Kelly's reign. Whether his hands were tied or not I have no idea but we lost good players at the end of last season and never replaced them.
The answer is to do the best with what we have now with any additions we can bring on board and recruit better this winter.

| they taught us a lesson, well if you are taught a lesson in life you should i hope learn from that, so assuming we do learn can we expect a improvement when we play fax on 3rd of july, i unfortunately some how doubt it. we were played of the field by the best team in our league by miles, a joy to watch are fax, play the game it should be played.
