Looks like Donny are up creak again , their chair/exec has called a meeting to tell the fans the position they find themselves

Fev have stated they will hand back half of any monies taken from any Donny or other away fans attending their match with Donny this weekend

just shows how a nice shiny new stadium doesn't automatically mean joe public will turn up

as I said on the last donny thread - that was the umpteenth time they had boasted of the phoenix rising from the ashes..and this is the umpteenth, plus one, crashing and burning of said phoenix.

I take no pleasure in it and hope they can pull through..but wonder why on earth they keep trying to do the impossible there..?

A brief visit to the SL ended very badly some years ago , and a few times they've been on the verge of some success but failed.

They have never been in Superleague.

Donny's core support are a good set and I hope they manage to pull through (again).

They talked about moving to the Rugby Union Ground during the last off season, Perhaps in Hindsight they should have done. May still do so if the RU season is coming to a close

it WAS the old first division, which they were top of after two games, when winning at st helens, then beating widnes in front of the sky cameras

So do I we had a lot of support from the Donny fans (as well as other clubs) when we were in the mire. We intend to repay it by going down in support when we do not have a game on the Sunday.

There'll be plenty of others who go the same way in the next few years. I don't know how much they spent last season but Hanley wouldn't have come cheap. Perhaps they might regret being so ambitious, but some people never learn do they?

I wouldn't laugh at any club going bust at this time, the future doesn't look that rosy for any out of SL.

The Chairmen have got to get together and scrap this farcial contract system, get em all on pay and play and lets have a real salary cap, hard if your a player but its about time they realised its not a bottomless money pit.

They are top of the Fair Play League. If we employed them all, we might cut down on penalties, sin-binnings etc - wouldn't win many games, mind

Yeah but when you never get the ball and are grabbing at shadows, how can you give away many penalties?

Only 'gave' three away against us, in a close game.
