Did he get injured today? He played about 20 minutes and only took in 3/4 drives gave away a penalty and then never returned in the 2nd half. Seems like a waste of a sub unless he was injured. Anyone know?

Something has changed with Lee as he is absolutely shocking this year, his whole game is crap at the minute from tackling to running the ball in. We are currently in the process of teaching him how to play rugby again.

What a long process that could well be ...........

Heard TKL was doing the teaching, Lee has only understood 50% of what TKL has taught him, ie he is turning up in body but his mind is awol, just wait till he cracks the boby being awol as well.

hobson is our only aggressive forward, every team needs 1 or 2.
But in reality, he wouldn't even 'made the bench' in our millward/terzis/abram/benson years.

To be aggressive you need to hit and take up hard, I must have missed something, all I see is dropping at the line and never first in, followed by half backs running at him and penalties/knock ons.
He takes nothing out of the opposition anymore, cookson is a far better option from what we have.

I've been going to Batley for many years however, its really farcical, if a team plays down the slope they score points and in the second half the opposition score

We played up the 'hill' second half hence, Hobson of no USE!

I don't think Durbin played second half either?

I don't think it's coincidence that Durbin plays at 6 first half and we play more expansive fast rugby, he goes off and were clueless, slow and back to one man rugby!

Agreed BUT i reckon it was more to do with defending them coming down the slope, i wonder if thats the same reason Stanton didn't play?

It's called playing the best team for the conditionsn and coming up the hill was always going to be a defensive effort, hence (IMO) the changes, and it did the job, nice bit of coaching there Rolls.

What would have happened if we had lost the toss and played uphill in the first half? Would Durbin have been subbed in the first minute and saved for the second half?

Or there try not been disallowed and we had lost the game

A wins a win, but when we are thinking negatively about the bottom club who are shipping points for fun shows how we have fallen.
Hope we can get things sorted with the week off, and hope we can get the Aussie 6 over to play the week after.

not sure about cookson watched him last fri for the reserves and he doesnt look fit he could hardly walk at times never mind run the injury does not look like it as cleared up why they are playing him he needs rest
