"We can't buy better players because the fans are not coming"

Well to those who use this statement when discussing getting crowds in to buy better players, here's what I think :-

We've played cr@p since day 1 this season. We are getting beat by teams that we have been better than for a decade at least. We lost our last home game and played badly. We got slaughtered last week. Tonight we are live on TV. Now taking all that into account we attract a crowd of 2300 which I would say was very good.

Round 1 to us, the spectators me thinks!

Here's a tip - tonights performance was not acceptable.

I find it incredible how a club like Leigh with such a loyal support and such a great Stadium can slide so far in a couple of seasons

ect ect ect ect ect ect we should have built on that instead we are close in my opinion to soon be hitting rock bottom with such a poor set up which we presently have at LEIGH...................

I attended the game yesterday and enjoyed it. In fact, I'd go again if I was offered discounted tickets. A few people will say ''why don't you pay top price like everybody else'' but I support Wigan home and away and it can get expensive as you lot will know. So unless I get discounted tickets, I won't go...Simple, no complaints.

That's where Leigh should look to local Super League clubs for opportunities to expand their support. For example, offer season ticket holders of Super League clubs a good discount to come watching Leigh.

What have Leigh got to lose?

The LSV makes it easier for a neutral supporter to watch games too. The facilities are good and plenty of places to watch the game with cover and a good view. Also, I'm not sure if it's a good thing for you lot but although the atmosphere was low key, it was pleasent and people frowned upon those trying to sing the 'flute song' or 'offensive' terrace songs.

I'll be honest though, I was quite suprised by the lack of crowd parcipitation last night. You have this big, nice stadium and opportunities to involve the crowd and get them up for the game, but it just seemed as though the club and the supporters are different sets of groups opposed to being one club. There didn't seem to be a link between those on and off the field, no competitions and generally no atmosphere built up. It felt like an amateur game being played at a big stadium. The club really need to embrace the LSV and involve the supporters, it just seems to be lacking a bit of enthusiasm.

How about this Alex. Pay full price at Leigh and only goto W"£$n if you get discounted tickets for their game
