Was it me but that looked very low considering the terrace and West hold 7000 ish.
West looked more than half full and terrace 1200ish min, our guessometers had 3200-3400.

I said to my mate at 1-oclock ,"I reckon about 2,800

I think someone mentioned on another thread that they had stopped scanning season tickets, could explain it!

Seriously, what is the West Stands Capacity? If it is around 3500 then it was at the very least 60% full = 2100. If it is 3000 then there was 1800. With around 700 in the North then we had between 2500 and 2800 on. This is without the 43 in the East

I do not understand the point in giving out an inaccurate attendance. There must be some other than corporate attendees being missed out. They must not be counting season ticket holders but why I ask you?

Even if the scanner stoped working (or they couldnt be ar$ed with it as it was too slow) they were still taking a tally on the numbers going through the turnstyles and surely there is a counter on the turnstyles.

If someone in the know wants to prove my [iestimates[/i incorrect then please feel free to do so.

Does it matter? Well yes I think it does. How can we guage how successful the move to the new stadium has been in increasing attendances without a fair and direct comparison?

Should be very simply really. Surely WMBC is not on the take from the good people of Leigh.

Seriously though, why don't the 'partners' actually have a meeting. I am sure they could come up with something that might make the idiots 'running' the LSV sit up and take notice......and as for £700 per desk for the staff (sincerely hope that is a rumour). Talking to one of the turnstile operators last night they stopped scanning at the request of security to ease congestion outside, the scanner is to stop the same ticket being used twice, attendance is done by a counter on the turnstile.

If that is correct what was the point of having the swipe cards? They work at MU but then the scanners are on the outside of the turnstiles rather than having a person take the card off you and scan in it in the turnstile

We got there about 2 15 and the scanner was broke so they wrote something down on paper instead probably the no.

They also work at the Reebok, where cards are taken from fans, swiped by the turnstiles operator then returned to the fan.

Think you're just suffering systems teething problems TBH.

I got there at 2.40 and they were just making a tally of entrants (pointless when the turnstyle has a counter) and did not write down the number.

The Watchers ST number was taken down along with loads of others.The turnstile operator was getting cheesed off with all the micky taking about modern systems,abacus's & typical Leigh jokes.
