I agree. He's wasted at centre, where he just can't get into the game. I suppose NK is playing him at centre, because we seem to have forgotten to sign a centre, this season. (again!)

Another problem for the coach, is that Mort is a highly promising full back, but I feel we should play Ian on the wing - let's face it, our wings are deployed more as full back's, getting their crumbs of possession from opposition kicks!

So, Donlan for full back, and Mort on the wing - for me.

We could play a revolutionary new game structure involving two fullbacks.

I've been thinking about it for years....

I always feel sorry for whoever plays on the left this season as they seem to see little ball and that has certainly been the case with Stuart when playing centre. This I felt was a plus at Doncaster as the ball was getting out to him and Dave Alstead.

For me Donlan has to play fullback.....back line would be:-

1. Donlan
2. Mort
3. Alstead
4. Reay
5. Stanton
6. Durbin
7. Watson.

From what we've got, yes possibly - although that has to be one of the smallest back divisions in RL!

Been looking at the back line and would go for

Donlan
mort
reay
rudd
alstead
stanton
durbin

watson on bench with marshy at 13

Stanton at 6?

Backline should look something like this;

1) Donlan
2) Mort/Stanton
3) Higson
4) Reay/Rudd
5) Alstead
6) Watson
7) Durbin

Thought he had a decent game myself, looked very safe under high ball especialy.

Totally agree with the observation of our play or should i say lack of it on the left side. Watson seems to have a bias to the right, however with the introduction of Lee Marsh in the Doncaster game our play took on a new dimension, and play opened up to the left resulting in more ball for Donlan and Alstead, also Morts try came from an insde left ball off Marsh.

On the subject of who should play full back? Not too sure, and not really too bothered. Both to start, simply because both players will score points. Also i rate Mort as one of the best goalkickers around at the moment.

Now with the risk of ridicule......Can Mort play stand off? I would have liked to have seen him operate in this role, maybe during comfortable periods in the London and Moscow games. I know that Tony Benson saw him as a future stand off.

I like Morty at fullback but also think that Donlan is wasted at Centre also, could we not try Stu at 6, however this is Leigh and we play second rowers there lol

Be interesting to see how many points concedeed when he plays at fullback to?? He`s a great attacking player but last line of defence???

It could be worse, we could have Michael Platt at Bradford as our fullback.
