| I have been reading a number of threads and it sprung to my mind that there does not [i appear[/i to be masses of Under 11's at the games with their free season tickets.
Maybe it is just where I have been sat but I have not noticed a remarkable increase from what I saw stood on the Tommy Sale terrace.
Was it ever stated how many under 11's took the club up on this offer?
Are the parents having to be careful with their money and cannot afford to get along to the games with them (maybe waiting and choosing their matches)?
What strikes me is that with the attendances we have had to date the Leigh Management must feel like they are peeing against the wind as announced attendances must have been lower than expected.
Was there an increase for the scholars and haven matches in comparison to similar fixtures last season against Blackpool and Featherstone in the Group stages? I dont have the figures at hand but maybe DParky can verify but I would be suprised if there were more last season as opposed to the accumulative 3100 or so that have been announced as being present for our 2 Northern Rail home cup games.
Whether it is the norm that the Northern rail cup games are not well attended I would have expected with the free season tickets and new stadium factor for things to be loking a little more positive on the attendance front.
And before you say it Fred YES I am obseesed with attendances
Anything number/statistical related is a fascination in my eyes

| I got an U11's season ticket for my niece so she can come with us, but she's not been yet, for us its just a case of waiting for the weather to warm up.
But for a lot of parents yes it will be simply a matter of I can/need to spend the money elsewhere, especially if they aren't regular supporters themselves.

| I think if there were more carrots freely available at home games then some of these soft under 11's maybe tempted to come along
Seriously thats 2 non-attendees (which I understand to an extent) but out of how many?
My advice is wrap up warm, and come and enjoy.
My lad started to go to the matches when he was about 3 and for a couple of years he was free (carried him over the turnstyles). Then I got him a season ticket which he has had almost every year ever since. Initially he enjoyed his half-time pop and crisps and rarely watched the game but since being 6 when he started to play he started to watch the game. Now he is a fan and is hooked. Those first couple of years he had no choice because if I was going to the match he had to come to (wifes instructions, not mine).
Maybe we can 'hook' a few more when the weather improves.

If she is interested girls play alongside the boys in mixed teams from 7-12 year old and I am sure are welcome at East,Miners,Golborne,Hindley,Westhoughton,Atherton and Culcheth. After this age they have seperate teams. Get her down to one of these clubs.

| Walt Jnr has attended every home game that I have been able to get to so far - Salford/W*gan/'haven - and will be there again on Sunday for the Russians!! Tell these 'stay-aways' to get a bluddy coat and bobble-hat on, and get gone to the games!!
Don't know if it means anything (i.e. how many took up the offer), but his season ticket is numbered 3 hundred and forty something.

| Must admit, my lad has only used his under 11 season ticket once this year, and even that was for Swinton away. Might go to the game on Sunday, though.
