| Just read that Stuart Littler could play his 134th consecutive game for Salford on Saturday night - thats a huge run in anyone's book - Like him or loathe him, Littler has always done well for Salford!

Very true - Met him on a few occasions and always found him an OK guy - 'Well done that lad' I say - reckon he has a few more to go yet!

| Someone told me Salford wanted to loan him out to us but he said that although he had no problem coming to Leigh because it was his benefit season at Salford should he play for us hardly anyone would turn up for his events.
No idea whether there is any truth to that but admittedly he has been a hell of a servant to Salford.

They obviously didn't want to loan him out [ithat[/i much if he was still being picked every week
To be fair, he's been a terrific servant to Salford and a bloody good player; always been a thorn in our side. As for the stick he gets, he only gives as good as he gets.

| always hated him as a player, but a while ago got talking to him in cafe stella, and i thought he was a top guy.
one of our crew at the salford friendly remarked he had made a good career for himself , by being consistently mediocre

Work hard and do the right things in the coaches eye and bobs your uncle.
You cannot get by for so long being mediocre.
Having said that IMO I always thought Scott Naylor (on the Salford coaching staff) was mediocre however his coaches obviously thought different !

| He’s been a good player and servant for them, but I’d rather us continue to develop players whose best days have yet to come.

No substitute for experience at times though; certainly need an old head to help guide along the youngsters, particularly in the backs.

Watson, Donlan, Maden, Alstead, Stewart, can all provide experience and advice for any up and coming back.

| good lad, good player.
Harlequins wanted him last season but stayed at salford to get his testimonial.
Think he was the only player ever to win the BARLA player of the year award and not get picked for GB squad at 18's

WHilst I recognise some of his weaknesses and flaws, I love Stuart Littler - he's the nearest we've got to a fan on the pitch.
He's been written off at the start of every season for as long as I can remember but every year, regardless of our coach or his opposition for a spot in the centres, he always comes good for us and ineviatbly scores tries galore.
Scott Naylor however was a class above. Quite possibly my favourite Salford player in the SL era, was awesome during our first stint in Super League.
