I would have that bench any day Jay.

Only reason I didn't select Taylor is cos he ain't played in any of the friendly's and the way the lads have played he should be made to fight to get his spot back (as should everyone else IMO).

Only concern with that Jay is that there's only one front rower on the bench. I know Parker has already shown in the friendlies that he can put in some huge stints, but I think it's always better to have a safety net, especially as the second rowers in that side can't necessarily move to prop.

I think Goulden could play prop or 2nd row Matt......has the size and strength to play both IMO.

I think he's far more effective out wide though, and it would cause less disruption if there was another specialised prop on the bench I reckon.

Would also play Duffy at 9 after a spell on the bench because he can be lethal at times from hooker

Wasnt a fan of Mcgilveray but he is one top finisher some of his finishes in the friendlies were superb!

Glad you noticed, it was said he went off form at the end of the season, well didnt the whole team, given the circumstances it was understandable,From when Arthur stepped down and soon as it came out Basil was leaving our season went downhill rapid.
I still enjoyed to NRC final win the amazing rugby we played along the way, lets hope we stay focused this season.

The pear shape was AT's problems and Govin's brain fart, look how well Gov was playing in any clips on you tube. He ripped Widnes apart everytime.
I was amazed we got to the end of the season, and Basils departure was diabolically handled - YES we couldn't aford him but do the deal and wait till the seasons over, do not have him in a Cas scarf whilst Leigh pay his wages


This year we will have better cash flow through the year, those able to join TD, buy your ST or simply attend every game you can - we aren't out the woods but we have a hell of a lot to look forward to, and I didn't expect that in September.

Ingram at centre and Bretherton on the bench?

Agree the team went poor however as a winger he gets through so much work but hardly ever beats the marker on a scoot therefore making no yards, where as maden clay and pownall scoot well. We will just give it a few games and see how he gets on

Mo you really need to get over your hangup around Maden! He should be one of the first on the teamsheet every week.

Works hard in defence and makes huge yards going forward.

Should have had Worrincy on the bench instead of Gallagher

Maden is a good man to have in the squad, but cant see him above the youngsters we have out wide and will not break Gardner/Littler centre combo - but is great cover for both.

Pownall is out so he may get a spot ahead of Clay, I do believe Maden gets targeted by the better teams when out wide.

I also believe Clay/Pownall/McGilvary have that bit more zip to run the try's in.

i disagree McGilvary never pins his ears back thats his biggest problem imo an example was on Friday in't 2nd half when he could of scored under the posts on the break if he pinned his ears back.

I have just had 3 sleepless nights , deliberating over my choice of 17 players for the Forthcoming season , it has not been easy



but as my application for the Coaches Job has not been answered , i have decided to refrain from publishin this said sheet , i feel Frank B , Ian C , JC , and Jesus-is Coming , along with myself must form a Brains Trust , or some sort of Focus Group to assist the Club .

Thats some pack that Geezer when they are all fit. The bench don't look to bad either.

I am surprised how good our pack options are but I would start with Bibey (watch your passing) and Parker.

Gallagher takes a lot out of the opposition too.

Not a lot wrong with Bibeys passing Frank he's laid on a few tries and breaks in pre-season.

Ste maden is quality , big and strong good inthe air , lacks pace but his experience makes up for that

Maden is the best all round winger in this league if he had that bit more paced he'd still be in super league now

At the Wigan game Fred one cost us 6 points. I thought he threw three other bad passes.

I rate him highly so only posted it on the off chance he reads my posts then he can pull his socks up.

Just like you did with Mick last two seasons will it worked for him lol
