As for Paul , unlike many who thought he was the best thing since sliced bread , he's always had faults that would prevent him from becoming a top class coach , he displayed those in the 2015 season

And like I asked what are your credentials ? .. non whatsoever walking round the pitch with a walkie talkie wearing a pink shirt don't cut it for me

Either way , bored with you , but as you seem unaware who I am , I'll give you a clue , I employed Paul when he rejoined the club , he also coached my son at school , he was crap at that , maybe that was his level

Paul Rowley is a what I call a cheque book coach.

No millionaire's cheque book behind him and his coaching record does not read pretty. Fact !

Like 'Starbug', I'm not his biggest fan!



However, in the interests of 'balance', I remember him building a squad from virtually nothing (six players, he says) during the very dark days, when we weren't sure we could survive. Not only did he manage to build a squad, it was a competitive one, in the Championship. I believe that was his greatest achievement.

I also liked the style of rugby he employed, but came to realise, that his 'style' would never get us promoted.

Like I say, I'm not a fan of his, but there were some good points to his reign

I decided to read PRs Interview (although not really interested) I cant see where he mentions being Leigh Coach when we were relegated to division One ? anyone seen reference to this?
Of course we escaped relegation due to Gateshead's demise!

Was that the 2013 season, when we wont the NR cup, despite not being able to pay players? Was definitely his biggest achievement.

His biggest failing was allowing the full time 2015 squad to have less fitness than the part time squad of 2014.

I for one look forward to PR returning to leigh and thanking him face to face for his positive impact he had on our club
