Ste, the point I was making was that you go on the offensive against anyone who criticises a club decision (such as charging 20 quid for a friendly). This isn't far off Derek throwing his toys out the pram on Facebook at fans who said that the new home kit is crap

Everyone's entitled to his or her opinion. Just because we support a club doesn't mean that we have to agree with every decision the owner makes.

Derek is passionate about Leigh and saved us from going under. Unfortunately his rants sometimes cross the line and become embarrassing. The same can be said of some fans on here.

FWIW, I agree that Jagger is a tool. Keep biting and he'll keep coming back!

Did you login after your sabbatical in the hope of finding everyone in agreement that £20 to face the enemy is too expensive?

It seems to me if you support the club and row against the tide of opinion you get slagged off!

If you want a £10 friendly check out Oldham/Swinton but don't expect them to have internationals, cup winners and possibly a former man of steel running around. I'll carry on paying £20 to see the best Leigh team possible !

First, a little insight.

I feel as though I sit somewhere in the middle ground here in that I recognise some failures/shortcomings by the Club & also what they are doing well.
For example, I don't like the new jersey & so I will buy the Help for Heroes jersey & the R.A.F RU 7's jersey instead.

I can also see the massive strides made towards professionalism by the Club, yet some areas are still very much amateurish, such as marketing *especially the apparent lack of proactive promotion of the Club's fixtures & chasing of major sponsorship deals*

On the other hand, very much like yourself, I want the very best for the Club, the best Coach, Players & Directorship.
In order to achieve the goals & dreams of Derek, Paul, the players & our fantastic supporters I also recognise that it takes money, investment not just by DB but also by the fans who hope to see Leigh Centurions competing at the highest level & to do this we, as supporters need to dig deep, both financially & in effort.

I agree with you Ste that £20 (£18 in my favoured North Stand) is not a huge price to pay in order to finance the quality of playing & coaching staff we aim to attract or retain. To put real quality out on the field takes £££ & plenty of it, therefore I will happily pay for me & Mrs Centurions North Stand tickets.

I will also happily be buying a season ticket, even though I don't have a Cat in Hells chance of being at all the home games.

If fans from other clubs didn't come on here with their humour and sarcasm it would die of boredom.

Ste you know always form my own opinions and let folk know what they are,I'm really hoping we sign Rangi for a start ,as I think the publicity and Rangis skill will be a great asset to the Club.I have already said I'm not keen on the new shirt design ,for me a Tribute to the John Woods era would have been better.
As for your Bet with Jagger? 5k was a bit excessive ,I have a 100 quid bet with the bloke which is a lot for me but I stand by it and I hope he will.I have no problem with Banter from other fans ,that's all it is a bit of winding up, I do it and most Fans do it,we should just look forward to what has potentially the promise to be a very very exciting season next year , I for one can't wait.I have been told this morning that Salford are looking at Sarsfield and Armstrong for next season,I don't know how true this is, but maybe it's getting nearer to Rangis signing than we think.

Well I have seen a tweet suggesting 'huge news for Leigh Centurions' which will be in DBs column in the Leigh Observer tomorrow, so who knows Charlie. I must add however I am sure we can all remember promises of 'huge' or 'exciting' news in some previous administrations that were anything but

We all know what a superstar Derek is, and we're all grateful to him for saving the club and putting it where it is now but your sycophantic posts are bloody tedious (and quite sickening). It's OK not to like/agree with every single thing the club does you know. I'm sure Derek won't banish you - he's a good guy.

Derek I have read somewhere today that Pala is joining Tolouse in France,and it seems Salford are after Sarsfield and Armstrong,and Beswick interesting Bradford,it does seem we are clearing the decks for a Big announcement ,I don't go on Twitter but I have heard about the Leigh Observer announcement,I must admit in recent times these BIG announcements have been a bit of a let down,but I can see Rangi being a Leigh player very soon,what Tipster Ste or his mate Mr Jagger say.

It just reminded me of why I stopped coming on here in the first place because it's guaranteed that every single person who has an opinion on the club (and as we all know, Derek is 'the club') and you either jump down their throat, write reams and reams of tripe about why they simply can't be right or, when all else fails, offer them out with a bet. It's too much - just give it a rest for a bit.
