If his first name is Martin then yes he is considerably richer to the tune of about quarter of a billion not sure if this is the guy though???

IF (big if) this guy is willing to become involved, he should be able to provide us with everything we need to become a sustainable club. And yes, he is exceptionally loaded.

If there is any truth in the two sides to this rumour, one does hope that the certain folks remember they were fans before they were board members and which is the most important.

Just flicked through my contributions to the thread , and I have tended to try to give my opinions on what I hope any new owner will do , rather than comment on any specific person or their possible wealth , that and the odd humorous ( well I thought so

) comment is all I can find

The OP was ever so slightly distasteful , but the drift through today has got more distasteful IMO ,

It's one thing saying " I hope the new owner , whoever he is , doesn't make the same mistakes as others have done , both at our club and others " , and another entirely saying " he's worth 200 million , , he should buy the stadium , he can afford it , or his house is worth 10 million , he's loaded , we've cracked it , SL here we come , he's richer than this clubs or that clubs owner "

What would happen if (I did say IF) a new backer wanted to take control but without the likes of Phil, Keith, and whoever else is still involved at the club? Would these guys just hand control over? I would hope that they wouldn't expect anything back for their 'donations' several years ago.

) as I understand it , Arthur was the majority shareholder , then anybody wanting to take over control only has to cut a deal with him , any other shareholders are irrelevant as , well as myself



If however , Arthur didn't have a majority shareholding , then it gets more tricky

As for anybody wanting some return on their investement , well that is personal to them , and isn't anybodys business , once again all IMO

It's everyone's business if they are stopping a potential takeover, and I did say IF.

As I said earlier , only the people involved actually know , and I doubt they'd be ' tittle tattling ' about it

All we can do is wait , and do our best to contribute whatever we can to keeping the club going in the meantime
